Kamala Harris visits spice shop known for hating and slamming Republicans, calls for end of ‘divisiveness’ (Penzeys Spices)

Kamala Harris made a campaign stop on Saturday at a spice shop known to openly discriminate against Republicans while calling for an end to political “division.”

The spice shop, Penzeys Spices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, welcomed the Democrat nominee to browse the store and meet some supporters.

While facing a gaggle of reporters, Harris claimed, “It’s time to turn the page on the divisiveness. It’s time to bring our country together, chart a new way forward.”

“A lot of what I think is happening, and I was just talking with some folks here in Pittsburgh about it, is that people are exhausted about the division and the attempts to kind of divide us as Americans,” said Harris.

“And, them stepping up to make this public statement, I think is, courageous.”

“But also for people like the folks I was just talking with, it really reinforces for them that we love our country, and we have more in common than what separates us,” asserted Harris in the spice shop.

Penzeys Spices has an entire “About Republicans” page on their website with a staggering 842-word essay bashing the political party.

For contrast, the “About Us” page on the Penzeys website features only 461 words, including “We are trying to make the world a better place.”

Part of the “About Republicans” page on their site, penned by CEO Bill Penzey, informs Republicans they can shop elsewhere: “Going forward we would still be glad to have you as customers, but we’re done pretending the Republican Party’s embrace of cruelty, racism, Covid lies, climate change denial, and threats to democracy are anything other than the risks they legitimately are.”

“If you need us to pretend you are not creating the hurt you are creating in order for you to continue to be our customer...

That’s an ironic place to say that. The owner of Penzey’s is one of the most hateful business owners I can think of. He sends out raging political screeds to his mailing list all the time.

That could be why her campaign team chose that place. I'm not sticking up for her but if that was the message I wanted to start going door to door with, I'd start in my own backyard.

Trump would do well to remind the general public that he is running to be Prez of the entire country, not just those who voted for him. Obviously his agenda is a 1000 times better than the commies agenda but it's actually a good strategy. It would help soften the TDS just a smidge.

Yes. They are the best packaged brand. I use it, our local grocery store keeps theirs and others. The quality is important.

When I traveled many states, I found a number of local one store operations that I frequented. And restaurants.

Finding a restaurant in unknown territory? There is only one way.

The Parking Lot Test!

Don’t look at trade name, appearance of building, or location. Just look where the full parking lot is. Never fails.

Never go into a restaurant that has zero customers in the parking lot.

I didn’t know that they were still in business.
Two of their retail outlets closed here years ago after their anti-republican rant.

Trump would do well to remind the public that he is going to be Prez of the
entire country, not just those who voted for him.........like Harris and Biden.

Well put.

You cannot reduce devisiveness when the “other side” embraces evil

Every time you compromise with evil it is a win for evil.

In a compromise you give up something and evil gains something.

How dumb can a corporate head be??? He should follow the ways of Michael Jordan, who is a liberal, but acknowledged that “Republicans buy shoes, too.”

But maybe that’s the problem: Mr. Penzey is perhaps NOT a liberal, but an intolerant LEFTIST, and maybe his only customers should be Antifa and women in pink puddy hats.

It was rumored that Penzey’s rants had cost them half their customers:

It’s time to bring our country together.

Get every democrat out of office is the only way it’ll happen.

The water in the creek won’t clear up until you get the hogs out of it.
