President Vladimir Putin has two young sons with former Olympic gymnast Alina Kabaeva, both of which have been living in secret since their births, according to a report by a Russian investigative group started by a former billionaire Putin foe, though Putin and Kabaeva have denied romantic ties for more than a decade.
Putin and Kabaeva share two sons, Ivan Putin and Vladimir Putin Jr., who were born in 2015 and 2019, respectively, according to the Dossier Center, a Russian investigative news organization that cited unnamed sources who claimed to regularly see the children.
Putin, 71, has publicly acknowledged having two daughters with his ex-wife Lyudmila Putin, who Putin married in 1983, according to the Kremlin: Maria, 39, and Katerina, 38.
Dossier Center alleges Kabaeva’s relationship with Putin began as early as 2008, six years before his divorce from Lyudmila was finalized.

As I replied on another thread, Kabaeva was baptized in 2004. She’s not a Muslim anymore and her children with Putin would be unlikely to be Muslim in any case.

The only facts available about Alina Kabaeeva from the wiki, not quoting claims and unconfirmed reports are this:
1) She is an Olympic Bronze and Gold medalist in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
2) She was a torch bearer at the Sochi Winter Olympics.
3) In 2013, age 30, she answered a press conference question saying she had no children.
4) She was a member of the Duma, holding a seat as a member of United Russia, the leading political party. She left politics and took senior management jobs of various projects.
5) This story about a Putin relationship and children originated in 2008, just one year after her retirement from sports competition, and was even more prominent in 2014. Not clear why it is splashing now. It’s not new.
6) She was involved during her Olympic years in a doping controversy. Some sort of disallowed diruetic her coach acquired. (Coach claimed he bought some stuff at a local pharmacy in a town where there was a competition and the purchase was mislabeled blah blah) She was suspended 2 years, served out that suspension and re-entered competition. Created some new moves in her sport that are named for her.
7) Her father was a Muslim Tatar and a professional soccer player. Her mother was Russian. Travel was extensive during her childhood, until training and selection of coach ended that.
