Casey Means was a Stanford-educated surgeon. Her brother Calley was a lobbyist for pharma and the food industry. Both quit their jobs in horror when they realized how many people were being killed by the systems they participated in. This is an amazing story.

I’m on the verge on that. Just came back from Spain, and it’s not even close as to the quality of food over there.
EVERY Comercial on the Evening Newscasts is a Drug Comercial We are on to there little game.
I’ve been researching areas for expats to relocate to. They all have their good and bad points. For me the biggest thing is finding someplace where I can still access my bank here and transfer funds to a bank in the country I would find to live in.

***Regards our health care specifically.
Yes, we have some high tech, we spend a lot of money, we do have some great minds involved, but the over-all big picture is that it flat out “sucks.”
1.) The family doctor who knows you, who is the one that should be advising you, no longer exists for the most part. There is no bigger picture and whole body perspective/approach.
2.) American health care is flow-charted by a “standard of care,” which is defined by the FDA, DEA, NIH, insurance companies, and politicians.
3.) Big pharma is a major player in defining what our health care looks like, and it is in reality a “conflict of interest.”
YOU- the person paying for it all, the one whose body/health is impacted, your values, is only a secondary consideration.
You have very little say in your health care.
— In many cases you are not advised as to what all your true options are.
— The information you are provided many not be entirely accurate.
— The course of action recommended is influenced by societal fads and trends, an example of this lately is the use of puberty blockers or even surgeries for children. Politics plays a major role in some decisions, example Covid. These decisions are NOT based on science like they claim.
What you end up with is a nation which spend more than twice that on health than most Western nations, BUT we are ranked:
(Big picture)
49th on infant death morality: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_infant_and_under-five_mortality_rates
55th on life expectancy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_life_expectancy
(Specifics- some random specific medical conditions)
If you look at heart and respiratory diseases, endocrine and nervous disorders leading to death, RARELY are we among the better nations: https://www.healthsystemtracker.org/chart-collection/mortality-rates-u-s-compare-countries/#Chart:%20Percentage%20decrease%20in%20age-adjusted%20circulatory%20diseases%20mortality%20rate,%201990-2015
We just do not score that well, despite outspending the next biggest spenders (Germany/Switzerland) on health care by 1.5 TIMES what they spend: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_total_health_expenditure_per_capita No one spends on health care what we spend, not even close.
But what do you expect when health care is defined by politicians:
Example Rick Perry of Texas: https://www.cnn.com/2011/09/15/opinion/krumholz-beckel-perry-pharmaceutical/index.html
Example Barack Obama: https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2015/09/03/obamacare-expands-rights-for-transgender-patients
Example Andrew Cuomo: https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/24/gov-cuomo-says-new-york-needs-ventilators-now-help-from-gm-ford-does-us-no-good.html
Example Andrew Cuomo: https://www.statnews.com/2021/02/26/cuomos-nursing-home-fiasco-ethical-perils-pandemic-policymaking/
Example Joe Biden: https://apnews.com/article/joe-biden-business-health-coronavirus-pandemic-executive-branch-18fb12993f05be13bf760946a6fb89be
There are a lot of people tugging and pulling on health care, big pharma, politicians, insurance companies, and then a slew of government bureaucracies, but where are (((YOU))) in this function?
That is what happens when you lose the power of the purse. When you are expected to pay, but no longer have a true say. No differently, the public education system in this country sucks, and it too is suffering from the same disease.
The real fix is to make the patient a customer again. To give the patient the power of where the money is going.
RE: teach to make their own food.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.
Teach a man to fish and
he’ll sit in a boat all day, drinking.
One of the things that shocked me was the requirement to give newborn babies vaccination for Hepatitis B! Within 24 hours, then at 1 month and then at 6 months.
EVEN WHEN THE MOTHER TESTS CLEAN!
“Hepatitis B is transmitted through direct contact with infected blood or certain bodily fluids. The virus is most commonly transmitted from an infected pregnant person to their baby during childbirth, due to the blood exchange that happens between mother and baby.
It is also transmitted through unsterile medical or dental equipment, unprotected sex, or unsterile needles, or by sharing personal items such as razors, toothbrushes, nail clippers, body jewelry.”
Take a look at the explosion of TV drug ads.
Big Pharma has made so much money and can flood the screen with drug promotions for diseases that are pretty rare. It is sickening.
Society has been programmed that a drug will take care of everything.
It is laughable to say that people “want a perfect drug with zero side effects that works 100% of the time”. Gee, isn’t that what they told the public about their “Covid shots”?? No side effects— nothing listed at all on the drug insert. “Can’t get Covid if you get injected”..
No wonder people think drugs should be miracles.
