KABUL (Reuters) - Afghanistan's Taliban formally codified a long set of rules governing morality this week, ranging from requiring women to cover their faces and men to grow beards to banning car drivers from playing music, the Justice Ministry said.
The rules, promoted as in line with Islamic sharia law and to be enforced by the morality ministry, were based on a decree by the Taliban's supreme spiritual leader in 2022 and were now officially published as law, a Justice Ministry spokesman said.

The world fear about Afghanistan going back 200 years was that Russia might take it, then punch through Persia(Iran) and India to establish a warm water port on the Indian Ocean.

I guess they wanted bad@ss leaders who wouldn’t take backtalk from anybody. They’re willing to be oppressed and even imprisoned if it saves them from anarchy, chaos, and civil war.
I suspect we have our dirty hands in there anyway through the ISIS attacks going on in the country.
The end game is a new front of ISIS warfare aimed at Russia and China.
