This montage of live performances of Solsbury Hill includes footage from Rockpalast (1978), Live in Athens (1987), Secret World Live (1993), Growing Up Live (2003), New Blood Live (2011) and Back To Front (2013).
Solsbury Hill was Peter's fist solo single and features on his debut, self-titled album, that was originally released in 1977. It's been a firm live favourite ever since

Not sure why you posted it but it’s a tribute to how conservatives can be happy even in bleak times. Thanks for adding to the variety.
Saw him live twice.
Absolutely astounding concerts.
The lyrics are great and uplifting.
I have always liked his music.
I find “Mercy Street” to be an evocative, haunting song.

His live version of “Biko” at Live Aid in ‘85 is one the greatest concert videos on YouTube that I’ve ever watched.
Agreed. Incredible to have seen him do that live.
I wondered where Solsbury hill was. Its located not far from Bath.
Outstanding. Thank you!
I too heard Biko at the Cow Palace in the 80s part of amensty tour
Tony Levin is one of the best bass players of all time.
Check that, it was in ‘86 in Giants stadium. Amnesty International tour.
I remember when Gabriel left Genesis. Some people were saying it would be the ruin of both. Of course Solsbury Hill let the world know Gabriel was going to be just fine, and one listen to Follow You, Follow Me let us know Genesis was left in good hands as well.
I saw him that year in November. And a couple years after that.
The African singer doing In Your Eyes was one of the best things I’ve ever seen live.
Band was great.
This concert I wish I saw live.

A trip back to a time when popular music was truly outstanding and enjoyed by a broad swath of people. Quite unlike things today, where all have been pigeonholed by the internet and fed sonic pablum.
Marking.
