BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. — More than a week after Kamala Harris’s debut as the likely Democratic presidential nominee, the buzz around her candidacy is still fresh here in the collar counties surrounding Philadelphia. Though many voters acknowledged they know little about her or her ideas, they used words like “exciting” and “energizing” to describe the political moment.
But the politician everyone really wanted to talk about was Sen. JD Vance, with his selection as former president Donald Trump’s running mate sparking a new chapter in the long-running conversation about Trump’s views of women.
Vance’s comments from 2021 suggesting that Americans without children “don’t really have a direct stake” in the country’s future went viral days ago. But unfortunately for Trump, the maelstrom surrounding his running mate is still stirring in this perennial battleground. In interviews with more than two dozen voters, it was clear that Vance’s views have renewed unease about Trump’s judgment, his past statements about women and his record on abortion. Almost universally, voters also said they were bracing for Trump to unleash personal attacks on Harris.
“Now that you’ve got Kamala in there, you’ve got a whole different ballgame,” said Mike Dumin, a 68-year-old independent from Lansdale. “He is going to attack her in ways that are going to be distasteful to most normal people except his base. He can’t help himself. He cannot stand the fact that it’s a woman, especially a woman who is a minority who could beat him.”

I guess they must not believe all the crap about Trump and Women coming out of the Far-left turd rollers Feral courts. It sure took them a long time to come around to the truth. The problem isn’t Trump. It’s the greedy, gold-digging women.
The propaganda media has spent more time beating everyone over the head with their fixation on a years-old silly comment from Vance, than they spent on the near assassination of our once and future president—or on the unbelievable, highly questionable circumstances that led to the shooting. The propagandists still have way too power to try to remake reality and reset priorities to favor their side.
There is a whole wide spectrum of attitudes held by women, all the way from “childless cat ladies” to the “supermoms” and the accomplished doers in the world of business. Suburban housewives vary very nearly as widely as the overall cohort of females in this hodgepodge of political and moral opinions, with the exception that they either are married, or have been at some time, and the very institution of marriage sets them apart from the classic definition of the grumpy old spinster, or the recent college girl that is still filled with misplaced idealism untested in the real world.
This is another reason the policy should be “everyone human being is equal under the law. The Bill of Rights applies equally regardless of gender. We are all Americans”.
I do not support discrimination, nor do I support special treatment.
In today’s America that is not what they want to hear but it it the best and fairest policy.
A unit of the propaganda arm of The Democrat Party Organized Crime Syndicate obeys its criminal masters.
As a single white male who is nearing his mid-forties, reasonably successful, and keeps himself in better shape than most; my views on women isn’t, and will never be influenced by media, politicians, television, or the internet, they are shaped by reality. My dating pool is a Venn Diagram of obese l women (brides of The State), single moms (entitled brides of The State), and liberal spinsters. The treatment I’ve received from these women has been a 31 flavors of f*cked up, which is why I’ve largely walked away from trying to find someone. If/when J.D. Vance, or even Donald Trump make some comment about cat ladies, I, along with several million other not-batsh*t insane people, know which women they are talking about, and which they are not.
Wow sounds like my average applicant for one of my vacant aparments. 145 inquiries since late February. Of those, only THREE had:
Credit score above 600
Don’t smoke (anything)
Have the income to afford the rent (3X income to rent)
Have good previous rental history
The entitlement since the Scamdemic is off the charts.
There is no crying in baseball and there should be no gentle-handling for women in politics. “Politics is war by other means,” and the way we practice it in this country —and I am not really happy about this — is not for the faint of heart. “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.” Besides, some of the foulest personalities in politics happen to be women. Remember Tlaib from Michigan on Trump: “Impeach that m**********r!” What a lady!
So, the Washington Post went out and found some voters who were never going to vote for Trump anyway and got them to dump all over his VP nominee. Brilliant journalism. /s
was JDV always the pick from the beginning?
did the Assassination attempt had anything to do with the pick?
was JDV’s pick tailored to Joe being in the race?
i wasn’t paying attention if those points were discussed
“Mike Dumin, a 68-year-old independent from Lansdale. “He is going to attack her in ways that are going to be distasteful to most normal people except his base.”
Mike, aren’t you precious. Let’s be extra nice to the Indian calling us Hitler so Mike and his ilk won’t be offended.
Yeah, keep up with the cat lady thing. It’s going over like a dead cat.
“The Bill of Rights applies equally regardless of gender. We are all Americans”.
The Bill of Rights applies equally regardless of sex or sexual characteristics. We are all Americans.
The term “Gender” is a misappropriation being leveraged for the attainment of special privileges.
All good questions. Not sure if any of them matter now ‘cause I don’t see PDJT replacing JD at this point in time. If that happened, it would make PDJT look weak. Trump overcame bad stuff, e.g., “the Bush tape”, in 2016 and it seems that JD has the same FU attitude that could get him through.
I was definitely not for JD at the beginning, but I think he’s tough and bold and could be OK.
I can’t imagine they didn’t seriously consider the probability of Joe dropping out; his afflictions were so obvious.
Taking a selfie.
How appropriate.
