They know they can't normally win the 2nd Congressional District in Nevada. So they are trying to sneak in a person named Greg Kidd. "He is running as a nonpartisan for Nevada's second Congressional district" says his website. He is flush with cash from God knows where. Talk radio airwaves are being bombarded with his ads. He is bragging about his 100% support by Planned Parenthood on billboards. His radio commercials are saying how he will bridge partisan politics and he is giving off dog whistles of how he will solve the immigration problem by pushing the granting of amnesty. Our representative is Mark Amodei. I did not vote for him in the primaries 2 years ago but we need this seat. This is a seat that should not even be in danger.

we were going to make a significant investment in northern NV but the recent leftist political machine in Vegas could so easily drag the entire state down ... that we decided not to put our money there
someone(s) in NV need to take on the leftwing political machine (hotel union leaders to start with), clean it up and then all of Nevada will be able to breathe freely again without the threat of totalitarian regimentation, state income taxes, the whole nine yards.

Answer: his own pocketbook. EVERY single penny he has “raised” so far comes from loans he has made to his own campaign.
Given that he is clearly on the far left and isn’t even trying to pretend otherwise aside from the lack of a (D) after his name, why should he pose any real threat in a R+8 district?
Amodei, who is a squishy moderate, would be in trouble if this shady character were running at him from the RIGHT. Looking at all the data about the district and these candidates, I see no real need for pearl-clutching here.

Amodei is a lousy candidate, deserves being replaced. Unfortuntely Republicans didn’t run a good candidate to primary him. Maybe we need to flush him, get a new Republican in 2 years.
Non-Partisan is the New Democrat. No difference.
If Amodei has any hope of winning he needs to get rid of his immigrant-loving ways. He’s a Democrat running as a Republican.
Amodei is not a conservative by any means and we could do much better in NV-2. He is a wimpy establishment moderate, so of course “Republicans didn’t run a good candidate to primary him” and they never will. A viable conservative opponent, if one ever appears, will surely not be recruited or funded by the GOP establishment.
But Amodei is hardly a “lousy candidate”, LOL.
That implies someone whose weaknesses preclude him from having a good chance of winning an election against a Democrat (or in this case, an “independent”).
Amodei has been elected 7 times and has about a 97% chance of making it 8 unless between now and November he reveals himself to be a pedophile or something.
Flush him at the expense of losing the House??

We won’t lose the House. The problem is every two years people make excuses for lousy candidates, RINOs, GOPe, and worse, claiming we have to vote for them. Nope, two years we can revisit.
I may or may not vote for Amodei, alternative is to skip that vote. But I do not support him. Every interaction I’ve had with him on issues like immigration, etc., simply leave me angry. Read his periodic letters, a bunch of nothing, no spine, no respect for what most Republicans stand for, promote, and defend. He hasn’t earned my vote.
Need to vote REPUBLICAN.

+1. The "lesser of two evils" is a weak argument given what we now know about the two parties that are really one party. Picking the RINO means America still loses.
