Answer: his own pocketbook. EVERY single penny he has “raised” so far comes from loans he has made to his own campaign.
Given that he is clearly on the far left and isn’t even trying to pretend otherwise aside from the lack of a (D) after his name, why should he pose any real threat in a R+8 district?
Amodei, who is a squishy moderate, would be in trouble if this shady character were running at him from the RIGHT. Looking at all the data about the district and these candidates, I see no real need for pearl-clutching here.
Amodei is a lousy candidate, deserves being replaced. Unfortuntely Republicans didn’t run a good candidate to primary him. Maybe we need to flush him, get a new Republican in 2 years.
