The artistic director of the LBGT-themed Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony has claimed he did not intend to portray the Last Supper after an apparent parody of the Biblical event drew outrage from Christians across the world.
Thomas Jolly, the artistic director of the Olympic Opening Ceremony, denied on Sunday that he was not “inspired” by the Last Supper, despite the striking similarities between the Leonardo da Vinci depiction of the Jesus Christ’s Last Supper with his 12 Apostles and the drag queen tableau shown at the opening of the Paris games.
“You will never find in me any desire to mock, or to denigrate anything. I wanted to do a ceremony that repairs, that reconciles, that reaffirms the values of our Republic,” Jolly said in comments reported by Le Figaro.

Nah. He’s a child of the Father of Lies.
How would a pagan festival about drinking and eating apply to the olympics ? It’s about hard work and training towards peak human performance.
Great Pagan Festivals are not the values of the French nor any Republic that wants to endure as history has shown. Dionysus was the Greek god of revelry, drunkenness, ritual madness, insanity, debauchery, etc...
If they wanted to do a send up to the Greek gods why not Hermes, who was the god of sport, games and athletes. That would have made more sense.
The parody of the biblical scene, performed against the backdrop of the River Seine, was intended to interpret Dionysus and raise awareness “of the absurdity of violence between human beings”, organisers wrote on X.This is simply nonapologetic, gaslighting BS (bovine scatology). If the Olympic organizers had actually wanted to mock the "absurdity of violence between human beings" they would have ridiculed the islamoideology and its Mohammedan followers. But, of course, the Olympic leaders have no intention of doing that.
“Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group. [The opening ceremony] tried to celebrate community tolerance,” the Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps told a press conference. “We believe this ambition was achieved. If people have taken any offence we are really sorry.”
Coming to America, if it hasn’t already.
Bs- the member in the group stated clearly that yes, it was meant to be offensive to christians. The fat woman who said it has since deleted her post apparently, likely b3cause it exposed what they did!
The guy is a total idiot........doesnt know when to stop talking.
He actually thought “saying” the tableau was based on a “pagan festival” would make it acceptable?
Airheaded imbecile does not adequately describe the guy.
It’s getting awfully deep in here.

Great point.
If the cockeyed creator wanted to do a send up to the Greek
gods why not Hermes, the god of sport, games and athletes.
Instead he dragged out Dionysus, the Greek god of revelry,
drunkenness, ritual madness, insanity, debauchery, etc...
To post-modernists, Christianity is just another myth, and the pagans had more fun.
Me too. Haven’t watched any of it. Don’t intend too.
Liar. Just ask the 'actors' which apostle they were told they were supposed to be representing. They all certainly know this.

Well it's France. Yes, I know even early pagans didn't consider Judaism a pagan faith, but in modern France they can try to temper the controversy by declaring it inspired by the pagan festival Passover. Possibly even a little truth there, and modern France and other countries. I bet Iran, who was upset by the display, would jump on board.
“No intention to offend? The segment was titled “La Cène sur la scene sur la seine” (The Last Supper on the stage on the Seine). So it was obviously meant to be a sexualized mockery of the Last Supper, as anyone who witnessed the spectacle could easily see.”
Shut up, Cretin. US patriots are not stupid.
I’m sure he’ll enjoy his time in Hell. Stupid Satanist.
They might’ve gotten away with it too - if they hadn’t put the Halo behind “Jabba the Hutt’s head.”
They’ve been pushing the deflection hard on Reddit’s r/christianity subreddit (note - unlike the atheist, Muslim, Hindu, etc; subreddits - this one is run by atheists and queers to “discuss Christianity” and is not a place for actual Christian support. Look to TrueChristian for that…
Remember the Christmas dancing at the Whitehouse....same cr** as in the opening perversion...
In substantial part no doubt, but meanwhile also a multi-faceted denigration and attack on Western civilization.
