Donald Trump has ignited alarm among his critics after telling a crowd of supporters that they won’t “have to vote again” if they return him to the presidency in November’s election.
“Christians, get out and vote! Just this time – you won’t have to do it any more,” the Republican former president said on Friday night at a rally hosted in West Palm Beach, Florida, by the far-right advocacy group Turning Point Action.
“You know what? It’ll be fixed! It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote any more, my beautiful Christians.”
At that point, with a slight shake of his head and his right hand pressed against the left side of his chest, Trump said, “I’m not Christian.” But he added: “I love you. Get out – you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.”
Trump’s remarks were immediately met with consternation in some political quarters.
The constitutional and civil rights attorney Andrew Seidel, for instance, replied to video of Trump’s comments circulating on X by writing: “This is not subtle Christian nationalism. He’s talking about ending our democracy and installing a Christian nation.”

Amusing hyperbole about how well he’s going to fix the country that will tempt people who are told it means something else to listen to his speech.
“You need some Pearls to clutch?”
How silly you are.
Corrected…sorry for the repeat.
I *think* he was trying to say, if he’s elected he’ll fix the corruption or bring about a Reagan-like change of heart such that the Good Guys will always win because 1) it’ll always be a fair election and 2) goodness triumphs evil forever.
But that isn’t true. Especially nowadays. I’ll explain.
The devil is the Prince of Lies. He’s pretty powerful that way. Indeed, we got 8 years of Clinton, Obama, and Bush. While the Dem Machine is never asleep, I’m pretty comfortable that these elections weren’t tipped by The Machine. Parenthetically, The Reagan Revolution ended just 4 years after he left office.
Furthermore, it really, doesn’t take much to tip the scales nowadays - every election from 2004 through 2020 (sans 2008) was decided by 500,000 votes or less. Allow me to quantify that.
Yesterday, Gen.Blather wrote that his Uncle who was big in Ohio Repub circles said “ said, each party candidate will attract about forty percent of the total vote. It doesn’t matter who they are, whether they’re good candidates or even if they’re dead. They get forty percent. All elections are a fight for the necessary eleven percent to make 51%”
He’s a smart man. I would argue, however, it’s actually LESS than that.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_presidential_elections_by_popular_vote_margin
Since Reagan’s landslide in 1984, the popular vote margin ranged from a high of 8.51% for Clinton to a low of -2.09% for Trump.
As we know, the popular vote isn’t the decider - it’s the Electoral College. Thus you have to scrutinize the winning vote margin in those close states that tip the balance to the winner, ie the Tipping Point states.
Since 2004 every election except for 2008 it came down to the handful of states that tip the Electoral College scale to the winner:
- In Trump’s win in 2016, his cumulative winning margin in the tipping point states of Wi, Mi, and PA was 77,444 votes.
-In Biden’s case, his tipping point margin was about 40k votes.
-Obama in 2012, it was about 500k votes.
-Bush in 2004, about 16k votes.
All this campaigning and rallies and debates blah blah blah…it all comes down in general to beating the other guy (or gal) by less than 100,000 votes.
Trump CAN change the hearts of the skeptical. He is bringing in minorities, women, and other usual Dem voters.
But verbal clusters like this mess things up bigly. And this isn’t the media twisting his words; he owns this one.
Exactly. This is such a lie. I watched it. He was telling the Christian group that the Dems are going to cheat so much that this time even though traditionally they don’t turn out to vote in large numbers now they have to. After I win we’ll fix the election fraud was the fixing he was talking about. He said the same about the NRA. The media are such frauds.
Answer these questions , putz: why did he say this? Do you agree? Do you think this is a big deal, or a n0ThInG bUrgEr? Could this not be used, LIKE HIS STABLE GENIUS PLAN TO HOLD A RALLY ON JANUARY 6th, in constant, endless ads and social media posts?
The gaslighting over The Tater and Kamguzzala is so noticeable that it's going to snap a number of people out of their gaslighted trances.
Also, many of the normal Democrats are going to do more than have to hold their noses to vote for The Fellator.
We need the Whitehpuse, House and Senate to secure our nation for the futue.
And by the way, he is a Christian...just doesn't belong to a particular denomination at the present time.
Ummm, Vance’s (valid) comments were from several years ago, not “the other day.”
You’ve posted this factual inaccuracy several times on FR. Clearly you are ignorantly or intentionally avoiding understanding the context and totality of Vance’s old comments that the left is dragging back up.
I’m smelling an agenda behind the repeated lies.
“I *think* he was trying to say, if he’s elected he’ll fix the corruption or bring about a Reagan-like change of heart such that the Good Guys will always win because 1) it’ll always be a fair election and 2) goodness triumphs evil forever.”
If that is what Trump meant, then that is what Trump should have said; but he repeatedly fails to say what he really means and delivers “shortcut” statements that fail, and sometimes fail miserably.
Lean in closer and fill me in . .

Exactly.
Why give them ammo to fire at him?
What will ring in the ears of Christians is “I am not a Christian”...This will come back to haunt him Nov 5th.
For bleeps sake, will people kindly consider the source.
AAAAAARGH.
Electoral votes are not by percentage. The number is 271. In this country we do not elect presidents by popular vote. So that number (or percentage) is meaningless.
….that is why I continued…

Christians will just stay home in mass, he doesn’t understand them...Christians have survived and thrived under horrible leaders...from Nero to the Communists. Sure wish he would have held his tongue.
My agenda is I don’t want Trump to lose and I think he made a big mistake picking a guy who once called him Hitler. I don’t trust Vance, I think he’s a fraud, no true conservative would be calling Trump Hitler.
