A man in Ohio said he had to go to the ER after a bone in a boneless wing got lodged in his throat.
The man sued the restaurant, its supplier, and a chicken farm, but he lost his case.
He appealed the ruling twice. This week, Ohio's Supreme Court agreed with the lower courts.
A restaurant in Ohio was found "not negligent" for injuries sustained by a man who found a bone in wings that had been advertised as "boneless," Ohio's Supreme Court ruled on Thursday.

Seems like if anyone had a case, it would he him.
When I was growing up, chicken wings were called “the garbage”. Who knew they eventually would become items on a menu.
Boneless Chicken wings aren’t even wing meat. They’re just Chicken nuggets with a false name.
It is a small family owned business.
Another article about this was posted yesterday.
About half argued the suit was rightfully tossed.
And the other half argued the man had a legitimate claim.

EXACTLY! Just as you wouldn’t expect Chicken nuggets to have bones, neither would you think pressed together chicken parts called bones would actually have bones.
My dear, departed dad was a virtuoso with cooking chicken on a charcoal grill. He brought his grills to every summer get-together be it family or friends.
All he did was baste the chicken with melted butter and sprinkle it with salt and pepper, but somehow his secret technique resulted in crisping the skin until it was very thin and almost see-through. You could pull off a piece of the skin and eat it like a potato chip.
Since he passed, numerous family members have tried to duplicate his results and all have failed. I’d pay money to eat his chicken just one more time. Same with my mom’s apple crisp.
Anyway, my point is that with all the hundreds of pounds of delicious chicken my dad cooked over the years, go figure that his favorite part to eat was the wings.
The court ruled that one must actually attempt to chew one’s food (ideally 32 times) and not swallow one’s food whole.
he was eating as fast as he could to get the most wings before the other folks at the table-
He should’ve dumped a cup of McDonald’s coffee in his lap. He’d be a multi-millionaire now.
I get boneless wings. Because they’re actually usually breaded tenders (ie nuggets) not wings. And therefore white meat and juicier, and also more meat, and less mess. That being said I know the places that have both probably get them in big bags, and cook them and throw them in bins and can randomly “mix” so no big deal. Also I chew.
Try Maurices Southern Gold BBQ sauce.
Mustard-Based and the THING for chickenā¦
I’ve had it. Been to Maurices many times in Columbia SC.
That’s what I came here for.

Area has a number of decent restaurants. Or DID anyway 25 years ago.
I havenāt been back to the area in all that time.
