A wild conspiracy theory has started swirling on social media over claims that President Biden did not sign his resignation letter.
The 81-year-old released announced he was standing down from his presidential race by sharing a letter to his social media on Sunday afternoon.
Speculation has since started to grow, with conspiracy theorists poring over its authenticity, with some believing he never actually signed the letter himself.
His signature on the letter shared on Sunday show his name being underlined, which according to some commentators he has never done before.
Billionaire Bill Ackman has been one of those sharing the theory online, frequently reposting different takes on his signature to his X profile.
Ackman, 58, shared one post that said: 'Lmao there's no way Biden didn't even sign the letter', alongside an image of different versions of his signature.
While another person posted: 'Yikes. Look at the B, totally different between the latest version and the previous ones.
'The Jr. is also left off the most recent 'signature'. Wikipedia has an odd practice of including signatures, their copy also does not match the letter.
'So now the question is not just who wrote the letter, but who signed it? This really does look like a coup.'
Another commentator added: 'Now this is a conspiracy theory I can get behind. Biden is dead or some s***.'
While others have said that without any physical proof of him signing the letter, either a video or picture, they will never believe he signed it.
One person posted: 'No presidential seal, bad signature, and no video. I am calling bulls*** until I see video of Biden.'
The president has been isolating with Covid-19 at his holiday home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, when his team composed the letter.

It’s not a wild conspiracy theory to say that it’s not Biden’s signature on Sunday’s letter. It’s just not. Look at the way the real Biden sign “R” in “J R Biden Jr.” Sunday’s “R” is obviously not the same.

When the first letter was being shown on Twitter someone commented that there was no way that letter was written by biden. It’s pretty obvious that it wasn’t. Maybe typed up for him to sign, but there’s no video or anything of him for days so who knows.
Looks fake to me. There’s a rule of evidence that where a signature is suspiscious to the lay observer, a jury can decide it is a forgery without expert testimony. Because people have eyes and signatures are a matter of common expierence. Don’t let the demoncrats/MSM fool you.
Got a weird lead on a story that people should look into. I got a call from a source close to Las Vegas Metro. The official story was that Joe Biden's trip was cut short last week due to COVID. However, according to this source, US Secret Service informed LV Metro that there was an emergency situation involving Joe Biden and to close necessary streets so that POTUS could be transported immediately to University Medical, which they began to do in earnest. Then, mysteriously, there was a stand down order and the USSS informed local Vegas PD that they were going to "medivac" POTUS to Johns Hopkins, which they presumed meant fly him back east ASAP. Apparently the rumor mill in the police department was that Joe Biden was dying or possibly already dead.
I didn't think too much about this lead, seemed too wild to be true, but given that Joe Biden has been out of public sight for days and dropped out of the race via an 𝕏 post, and his brother James indicated health was a factor, I'm beginning to grow more curious if COVID or something else has been more serious than reported. I was just thinking of that too.
It’s easy enough to paste in a scanned signature. I do it all the time when signing documents online. So even if it is a genuine signature, it doesn’t mean he put it on the letter.
“I don’t remember signing that first letter. No joke. Anyway, I retract it. Jill says I’m much better, so I’m back in the race. Put those bumper stickers back on, everybody!”
