Explain WhyWe Are We Even Adversaries With Russia?
Self | 07/19/2024 | Self

Russia supports our adversaries because we still treat Russia as our adversary. A change in policy could change the global world order overnight. China and Islamists are our true enemies.

It is because it is making our establishment class obscenely rich.

“Explain WhyWe Are We Even Adversaries With Russia?”

Because the GLOBALISTS demanded that we be enemies with Russia, and that’s who BOTH PARTIES (and the Zeepers) answer to, other than Trump, Vance, and a few others.

As to your other point - yes, we are on a collision course with China whether we like it or not, but it sure would have been nice to have Russia on our side, instead of on China’s side. But the GLOBALISTS would only allow Russia to our side IF Russia was subservient to the Globalists*, something that they were not, understandably, prepared to do, given their history.

*meaning Globohomo, Climate Change, Mass Immigration, etc.

“I have to think we had a chance at a different outcome, but nope, we now have a challenge with Russia who should be our natural ally against the Islamic Cult and China.”

NATO should have been dissolved once the Warsaw Pact fell. NATO has been a giant welfare program for the treacherous and ungrateful Euros. It cost us a lot of money, it earned us no love and now it’s a military pact in search of a conflict to justify its further existence.

“There’s no reason except that the MIC needs a good enemy to justify its existence and huge payroll.”

That’s the easy answer, and while they don’t mind the bucks, they would have done fine without Russia being an enemy, given how they manage to start wars all over the world, anyway.

But the REAL ANSWER is their other agendas, including Globohomo, Climate Change, Mass Immigration, Butchering Little Boys, etc. Russia simply wouldn’t play ball in those areas, which is why the Western Leaders (and Zeepers, for that matter) absolutely HATE RUSSIA.

The Russians poisoned the well. The “west” enthusiastically encouraged Russia to develop and make money, pre-2014. And it worked, Russia made vast amounts of money exporting petroleum, mainly, plus gas.

FDI - https://tradingeconomics.com/russia/foreign-direct-investment

Negative flows are mainly Russian entities investing abroad. That’s the reason why there is such a huge pile of Russian assets held in the US and Europe. Russia has done a piss-poor job of reinvesting its natural resources windfall in Russia.

“The idea is to drain Russia economically forcing it into submission to the United States so China can be dealt with next.”

More like “The idea was”, as Russia now far stronger than when the Ukraine War started. Seemed that they were getting milked precisely because of their formerly close ties to the West. Now they’re free of that yoke.

Agree and it’s not to late to make nice umder Trump and realize that we have much in common in interests and relatively little really different. We should also take the lead in helping bring North Korea onto the modern age and improving life for its people. I hope to see both things in my lifetime

Because Bush couldn’t fathom the demise of the Cold War power structure.

To this day I still find people calling Russia, Communist. They never stopped.

We had a window to make friends and we blew it.

I will try to explain in very simplified terms.

There are two mindsets in the world.

One of them, if given one wish, would ask for wealth, health or knowledge.

The other one, if given one wish, would ask for wealth, health or knowledge to be taken away from someone else.

The US still mostly has the first.

Russia mostly has the second.

It is not a recent thing this has been the Russian mindset for hundreds of years.

So the two can not get along.

There is more to it then that but for what you are asking it should suffice.

Didn’t Kissinger want to play the Soviet Union and China off against each other not unite them into one entity?

Well why do the Neocons want to unite Russia and China?

The “natural resources that the deep state wants to mine” is why Russia became a wealthy nation, able to afford foreign wars.

You have cause and effect backwards. The “west” investing in Russia was a good thing, for Russia. Just like it was for Saudi Arabia, Iran, Indonesia, etc. That’s why these places make a living these days.

The “war machine” is a tiny part of the US economy these days. The really big money is in social spending and economic regulation.

“Recall how the Soviets occupied eastern Europe. Recall the Berlin Wall. There was no negotiating with them at the time.”

Agree, and I was gun-ho against the Soviets, something that I still think was the right position, back then. But the post you were responding to said AFTER the Cold War. At that point Russia had cut their conventional military down to next to nothing, versus their huge, offensive, ideologically-driven, military posture during the Cold War. But, thanks to the Neocon War in Ukraine, their military has now grown in size by 50%, permanently. So we’ve managed to more or less start another Cold War against them, although it can be reversed, if we can keep the Neocons out of power for a while.

“When and if the US stops its aggression toward Russia, relations will improve.”

The aggression that the Zeepers seem so hell-bent on certainly ends with Trump/Vance, as to relations with Russia, they should slowly heal, but Russia will, for good reason, always, now, be wary of the West.

The Bush administrations were all for investing in Russia (and China). And Clinton. Russia was granted MFN in 1996, which was in the works since @1992.

Who actually thought we could beat Russia?
I’m not in any way shape or form a military strategist but if you’re fight a war, don’t you need to cut off supplies to the “enemy”? Europe is actually buying Russian oil!

“Both the US and Russia are self-sufficient. There is no reason to be enemies.”

I agree that there is no reason to be enemies with Russia, but Russia has access to far more resources than we do. We do need access to foreign markets far more than Russia, however the GENIUSES who came up with the Ukraine War, the Neocons, have been so OBSESSED with Russia, that they are losing that access on a near-daily basis. For example, France was so busy following the Neocons off the cliff in Ukraine, that they failed to notice that they were about to lose Niger...and so now Niger has TOTAL CONTROL over the refueling of the French nuclear reactors...not a good position for France, at all.

When Russia was the center of the Communist universe, they were the darling of the democrat party.

Bernie Sanders honeymooned there and extolled the virtues of Soviet life.

The demonrat party sought their assistance to defeat Ronald Reagan.

Many democrat party elites called for unilateral disarmament of the US and other absurd appeasements.

What happened?

The Russians abandoned Communism for the Free Market.

The Russians reintroduced the Orthodox Chatechism in their public schools.

The Russians made homosexual behavior illegal, banning pride parades and gay “marriage”, forbidding homosexuals from adopting children.

And the Russians have an active arrest warrant for George Soros.

THIS is why the democrats hate Russia.

“Russia has been supporting Iran, Syria, North Korea, and others for a very long time.”

Good points, although Iran started it with us, so I still blame them. North Korea was actually fairly calm, especially with Trump. Now they’re FORMAL ALLIES with Russia, thanks again to the Neocon War in Ukraine. Syria was COMPLETELY engineered by Hillary Rodman Clinton, a major enabler of the Ukraine War too.
