Explain WhyWe Are We Even Adversaries With Russia?
Self | 07/19/2024 | Self

Russia supports our adversaries because we still treat Russia as our adversary. A change in policy could change the global world order overnight. China and Islamists are our true enemies.

Stalin was long dead by the end of the Cold War.

“Russia as a culture is afraid of invasion. “

That is exactly what libs said during the cold war. Russia is a predatory and aggressive power which looks at the rest of the world t (including us) through gun sights. They know full well what is going on and they are not a defensive power.

” been supporting our enemies because we’re treating Russia as enemies. Duh.”

No they really are our enemies. Your point is absurd.

I hear it was because the 80’s called and they wanted their foreign policy back.

I’m half surprised, but probably shouldn’t be that Trump, or someone hasn’t thrown that quip back into their faces.

Russia is no less "expansionist" than the U.S. They just do it in the open.

The biggest blunder the U.S. has made in foreign policy matters over the last 35 years is that we have effectively turned Russia from a European nation into an Asian one. This was entirely unnecessary and cannot possibly be justified.

"A change in policy could change the global world order overnight."

It was tried many times...

Interestingly, the US and Russia have never been at war with each other.

Because of Russian collusion, and Russian interference in our elections...or so said Obama and the RATS.

You’re missing the entire point. Why do you perceive their leadership as evil? Don’t you think they perceive our leadership as evil? I don’t know if modern day Russia is behind the Marxist based ideologies that have gained ground in the USA Today. They certainly were during the Cold War and the seeds they sowed in our community have borne the fruit of modern day leftist extremism in the USA. The irony is that the sowers of those seeds (Soviet marxists) are virtually extinct. There are more communists today in America than there are in Russia.

Who was elected in America’s first presidential election after the Cold War ended? Which party was in charge of foreign policy for 8 years after? Which president succeeded those 8 years and kept the same foreign policy wonks in charge?

The Russian mindset was set under the czars. The mentality was not one that could understand western concepts right after WW2. They are reverting back to their roots with Putin as their Czar.

We pushed privatization of state assets in the 90s in a way that helped create the kleptocrats and oligarchs. Putin benefitted but I can’t imagine it endeared us to the common people.

You would think that Russia might see itself as part of the West, standing against Muslim aggression and Chinese expansion.

But for all the aristocrats spoke French, Russia has never seen itself as part of the West but as something apart and deeper. Mother Russia means something to them, even as Putin dilutes it with Muslims.

We are, which is why we are universally despised except by the clients who make a fortune off of our deep state making a fortune off of the taxpayers who are so unpatriotic that they complain about the forever war globalist system.

And my point is Russia works with our enemies because Russia is an enemy. No one forced them to be international villains.

It’s because the filthy democrats have used them as a whipping boy and political weapon against Trump. Russia should be a natural ally but dem scum poisoned that well.

The historian Arnold Toynbee said that the ruling class needs an internal and external proletariat to maintain power. Preferably the two should have features that make them undesirable.

The internal proletariat for the American ruling class is “little people of flyover country”, whether that be some Black guy in our urban centers or some White guy out in the country. MAGA especially fits the role of an internal proletariat.

An external proletariat should be a country our group of countries businesses don’t have too much connection with and thus not a whole lot for the ruling class to lose by making them an enemy.

China wouldn’t fit for this reason.

The external proletariat should also have a feature rulers can identify as evil or undesirable.

Russia fits this bill perfectly. We aren’t heavily invested in Russia plus most of them are White and therefore supposedly racist.
