Hickcock45 and Son here! How you all doing? Got some bad news today to share with you. Don't know where you're seeing this - whether you're on the Hickcock45 Clips Channel or the Hickcock45 Main Channel or the Hickcock45 Talks Channel. We're posting this on all three channels today. We just had a chat with our Google rep and, John, you want to share?
Yeah, he shared some unfortunate news with us. Some of you may have seen that YouTube changed their policy on gun videos in June 18th and we were not aware how much that was going to affect us until very recently when we just talked with our Google rep as Dad said. And you may notice that our videos posted since June 18th have been removed and the reason for that is because essentially the new policy that pertains to this video and what the problem is here is that all sponsorships from companies that are either firearms companies or companies that deal in firearms accessories are a complete violation of YouTube's policies and any videos posted with sponsorships of that kind post June 18th will make your channel subject to being completely terminated, strikes and termination right? and any video before that is subject to the video itself being terminated. So prior to June 18th the video itself was at risk. Post June 18th the entire channel is at risk. And as you know we have had sponsorships like that almost the entire time we have been doing this. So, it pertains to probably 95% of our content so we are at the risk of losing everything and having to almost start from scratch, you know? Trying to be optimistic.

Life is good.
Attacks on Guns and Gun Owners will only increase, I fear.
I have to believe that between X, Rumble and Truth Social Hickock will be able to do fine and probably drag a LOT of viewers over to that platform.
His videos aere great!
1) Move to Rumble
2) I see so many gun-related YouTube ads inserted into the gun videos that I watch, I cannot believe how hypocritical YouTube is being with this policy.
He is an outstanding resource for people who want to really understand firearms without a political overtone.
Which is why he’s a Problem to Some People.
I’m sorry, everyone. I had to edit this from the YouTube auto-transcript and I misspelled his name every time.
It’s Hickok45, not Hickock45. One C.
I feel bad because I’ve been a subscriber for many years and I still messed it up.
Move to Rumble. <-— absolutely.
This was only a matter of time.
It’s difficult to imagine there was not a mirror site on Twitter or Rumble.
Hopefully he can get all the videos to another platform.
Google could care less that this channel has millions of viewers and has generated revenue for Google. Rather, Google isn’t content with spying on you and selling your data - they want to control you.
I’ve watched a lot Hickock 45 videos over the years, and this is G rated content. They shoot targets and talk about firearms. There’s nothing bad on this channel. Nothing.
Ping!......................
Move to Rumble.
I’m surprised they haven’t axed that channel sooner.
I think the sheer number of subscribers made em hold off.
I saw what they did to 76Highboy, a much smaller venue, and that channel was primarily about reloading ammo and equipment reviews.
FWIW, I’m certainly not of fan of govt. regulation by any means, but perhaps YT should become a regulated utility, like the electric company. Same for FB.
Anyway, move to Rumble. Yeah, it will take quite a bit of work, but the more viewers and subscribers that leave YT in the dustbin of history, the better.
Yeah, but be honest. He might not have all those videos easy to access without youtube, it will be a lot of tedious work to post all those videos to any or all of the other platforms, and the viewership numbers of those other platforms pale in comparison to that of youtube. And until all the videos are posted to alternate sites, people can’t follow threads/links/interests in looking up the old videos. So it is a big deal.
I like Rumble but wish it was more user friendly. Youtube’s algorithms are great for bringing like-minded videos together.
“Move to Rumble. <-— absolutely”

This is the way!
What would be cool is if someone could build a YouTube ripper. It would just crawl Youtube for your channel and rip videos to files.
Storing a business like that on someone else’s cloud seems quite risky.
FReepmail me if you want to be added to or deleted from this Ping List.
More 2nd Amendment related articles on FR's Bang List.
I will go wherever Hickock45 goes.
Saw that video last night.
There has got to be a way to cause YouTube financial pain over this idiotic decision.
It doesn’t matter if I watch a YouTube video on line or thru their app on my tv, the commercials before and during the video are getting way out of hand in their frequency.
