Disney World brutally axes beloved character after 50 years over fears his name is offensive to alcoholics

Walt Disney World is relaunching a fan-favorite attraction after making major updates, including renaming one its most popular characters.
The Country Bear Jamboree - a Magic Kingdom institution since 1971 - shut down in January of this year for a revamp.
Renamed 'Country Bear Musical Jamboree,' the animatronic crew of singing bears returns on Wednesday minus one beloved character.
Liver Lips McGrowl, a slightly chubby brown bear with pouty lips, was axed from the program over concerns his name is offensive, reported Inside The Magic.
The term 'liver lips' describes swollen lips due to excessive alcohol consumption and has also been used as a racial slur.

Constantine the Great was born in York as his father was stationed there with the Roman army. There was concern about a large statue of him remaining on the public grounds, because of extensive Roan involvement in slavery. Eventually it was left in place because NO negative comments were received.
Proving once again, as here at Disney, that the people whose job it is to find things to be aggrieved about are a lot more worried about these issues than are normal people
