Trump knows that Barron has a strange hold on the affections of many of his most hardened supporters. And if there's anything more outlandish than the personality cult that surrounds him, it's the one that is rapidly developing around his youngest child. ... These cherry-picked details helped spawn a bizarre theory โ eagerly taken up by pro-Trump tin-foil hatters - that Donald and Barron are time-travellers and that Barron will one day become an all-conquering 'American Caesar'.

Time travel has been a SF trope since H G Wells wrote The Time Machine in 1895.
There have been all kinds of claims of secret government and private research on this topic since then.
That includes a wide variety of folks with entertaining stories about how they are time travelers.
One of the latest variants are the claims of “twenty and back” technology which....
If you are interested you can check on that for yourself.
While I do not necessarily believe any of the stories I am in no rush to dismiss them as crazy either.
If the tech was invented in the future and time travel brought it back—who knows?
Physics professionals have wild debates on the nature of time—there are several different theories on how it works and they are truly “crazy” to folks who have not heard them before....

How old was Octavian when he started his political career?
Something is going on with Barron. Maybe because he is now of age and fair target. not really sure. Seeing a lot of articles about his high IQ-170 and that he is the heir apparent, Melania is going to make sure of it, etc.
Yeah! That’s gotta be it!
He had two loaves of Wonder Bread every day!
The never ending wonders of bleached grains!
Apples and oranges.
I guess the dims aren’t up to the task?

Skip to 3:30. Here are some guys (no idea who they are) that went to Trump Tower and had dinner with Barron. They said Barron led the conversation and was witty, smart, good head on his shoulders.
Barron said that now that he is 18 he said he knows he’ll be the target of the media, and that is part of the business and that he can handle it.
oops - dinner was at Mar lago.
Barron is impressive—the time traveler folks got that part correct.

Apologies for misinterpreting you. I’ve seen many extremists go way too far on FR, and many so-called non-extremists going after sensible people who stay within the lines of reasonableness, though often touching the line with a toe. I let everyone live their own lives and beliefs as they rarely form so large a group as to endanger any major issue of importance. And as long as cults keep their fingers off my nearest and dearest, I’m perfectly happy for them to play Darwinian games of heading off together to strange planets and after-life experiences.
I love to look at the world thru happiness-tinted glasses. So I never read the dystopian sci-fi but stuck with the adventure and romance variants during my long sci-fi period. But, actually, real science was MUCH more fun.

OTOH...the book series about a Baron Trump ( the second R is missing ) which was written at the time period that these books were set in, has the description of the buildings and especially the description of the house that Baron lived in, ALL WRONG! If it had included correct or even vaguely similar descriptions, that might, be a different story...maybe. LOL
There's a book that I read when I was 12 or 13 ( I wish that I could remember the title, but I can't ) that was about a few children who go to another planet, where people wore crazy clothing ( whatever they wanted to ), many men had long hair, and it was a populace who believed in "doing your own thing". When the Hippie fad hit, I was reminded of that fantasy book. And the book was also written in the late Victorian era; it was a Brit book, BTW.
As in BRAVE NEW WORLD, we've now reached a point where we are told that we can't use the word "MOTHER", there were test tube babies, and children from an extremely young age were taught all about sexual activities...though "transgenderism" wasn't included. Then there's the "SOMA" ( dope ), everyone having contraceptives ( that was something that at the time was EXTREMELY difficult to get ), and children being raised in what we now call "DAY CARE".
And there is NOTHING whatsoever in the Trump series about a time machine. SO there's just no comparison other than a version of Barron's name and where he lived. But there were NO brownstones on Fifth Ave. at these time that these books were written and never have been. The houses on Fifth Avenue, at that time, were MANSIONS and these were then replaced by department store!
SEE?
I read a lot of SF as well—the transgender propaganda insanity was one piece the writers missed and has been a big and nasty surprise.
SF writers also did not predict wackadoodles like the Nazi guy in Europe telling everybody to eat bugs and “own nothing”.
Another surprise has been the rise of the Karenocracy in organizations small and large, private and public—nasty women trying to make everybody miserable.
One more has been the attempt to make the ugly replace beautiful—partially predicted by Vonnegut to be fair.
All that is an argument against time travel...
I TIME TRAVEL ALL THE TIME.
WATCH... I AM GOING TO TIME TRAVEL BACK IN TIME AND
POST BEFORE THIS POST
I've always read a LOT! And I have varied tastes so yes, when it comes to Sci-Fi and fantasy books, I've read quite a few dystopian ones.
An exceptionally great book is: TIME AND AGAIN, by Jack Finney. It does have time travel in it; however, every single building, artifact, area, and many people, in that book is historically factual. It's much easier to get things right, when one goes back in time, in a book, which is what takes place. :-)
If you haven't read that book, or anything else by Finney ( except for his long await and dreadful sequel to TIME AND AGAIN ) you should.
Ursula Le Guin wrote a book called THE LEFT HAND OF DARKNESS, where people could and did change their sex at will. It’s a disgusting book.Sadly it was required summer reading for kids in a private, elite boarding school and totally inappropriate.
When you think about it the title is spot on.
