Joe Biden continues to climb the ladder to oblivion.
Poll analyst Nate Silver lists the signs that a party is getting rid of a president under the 25th Amendment. He says we’re about halfway up the ladder, which has these at the starting rungs:
- Back-channel conversations - Anon leaks to press - Influential non-electeds and donors saying he should resign - Backbench elected officials saying he should resign - Signals from senior party leaders saying he should resign with plausible deniability - Megadonors saying he should resign and withholding funds - Normie senators or representatives saying he should resign
I’m seeing all this right now, not yet as a march to the 25thAmendment removal from office, but certainly in an effort to get him to withdraw from the 2024 race. The latest such sign is reports that the White House visitor logs show that President Biden’s doctor Kevin O’Connor met with a Parkinson’s disease specialist and a nurse who coordinates Biden’s care nine times since July 2023. (Now, I don’t think it a leap to suggest that sources just whispered to people like Alex Berenson and Jonathan Levine what to look for. Maybe they didn’t. Maybe someone wanted to take hours to pore through the logs, but maybe not.)
There’s plenty of information supporting Silver’s view that we’re halfway up the ladder, and over at the Wall Street Journal, Kim Strassel lists a lot of it.

Texas Rep. Lloyd Doggett on Tuesday became the first elected Congressional Democrat to “respectfully” call on Mr. Biden to withdraw from the race. Maine Democratic Rep. Jared Golden, fighting one of the tightest House races in the country, did the functional equivalent with an op-ed that explained it didn’t matter what Mr. Biden did after his “poor performance”

Hard to reason with a person in this frame of mind. He still thinks he is maybe forty years old, or something, and perfectly in control.

The simplest is on they give on yearly SS well exams: during the conversation the evaluator will say three names like “table, rock, elevator” and then about 5 minutes later as you to recall them. 2/3 is passing IIRC. He couldn’t do any, I bet.
Y The November test will tell if POSOTUS continues the destruction of the republic. Then he can go back to the solitary confinement of his own mind for the rest of his pathetic life.
I think Jill does not want to give up the perks as well. And Joe thinks he is the first black woman president.
No test is foolproof. But a good test is to ask the person to draw a clock, then place the hour and minute hands to read, say, 7:15.
I suppose this test will eventually have to be discarded, as everything is digital for today’s young folks.
His damn doctor should step up. This is about the strength of our country....not Joe. And Jill...she’s disgusting. Big difference between her and Nancy Reagan.

He cannot pass it so he won’t take it. He is either negotiating his terms or going down with the ship.
That is also part of the SS wellness check my doctor performs every year.

The scary part is all the power involved.....what if he has an episode and gives some incoherent order?
It is criminal to proffer him as the Commander in Chief. He is incapable of the task, and in a war Biden would not be making the decisions.
That fact is unacceptable and he must be removed for the safety and security of the nation and the integrity of the Constitution.
This isn’t a political parlor game, Biden is not in control.

For most, it’s hard to admit you’re nuts. Never been a problem for me.
No politician would ever take a challenge like taking a public cognitive test. It isn’t going to happen. Ever.
Having sat through about a dozen of those tests for parents and relatives, I can assure you that most people have no idea what it entails. I would also suggest that many people pounding the table for one would not do well. And finally, most people would have zero understanding of how they are graded.
I have no doubt that Biden would fail it. But so wouldn’t most other geriatric candidates from both parties.
He can take it, or not take it. The post-test spin will be all that matters.
