Germany is not the well-functioning, environmentally super-conscious, high-tech nation
it used to be. You go to a train station, half the trains are cancelled, the other half is delayed,
the escalators are broken, the announcements are barely audible, and in the unlikely event
that you can connect to the wifi it’s so slow that by the time the news is streaming it’s become a historical documentary. Or maybe it’s quantum wifi, collapses the moment you touch it

Most of the German downfall already happened in large US cities years ago.

While I’m sure she’s exaggerating the extent to which internet speeds are dragging (this being the Germany that had the strongest economy of its peers, whether East or West, during the Cold War), it’s noteworthy that the German government approved the use of Huawei gear, the foundations of which are ripped off from Cisco and the carcass of Nortel, whose tech was cloned down to the last detail. You have to wonder what the SPD is thinking, if it’s thinking.

Anyway, a nation can spend its money on sensible things like maintaining infrastructure. Or it can spend its money on illegal immigrants and on chasing unworkable “green” dreams.
Germany (like most of the West) has made the wrong choice.
It’s worth noting the speaker here still pushes some of that stupid green ideology as she criticizes other parts of it. 🤔

Unquestioning belief in the climate crisis lie is the problem.
It’s tragic, but nearly every bad idea in government affecting America has come from Germany. Communism, nazism, Prussian bureaucracy, public education as a regimentation process… you name it.
They should stick to roads, sausages and beer.
She puts a lot of the fault on “the government” bad and slow decisions.
Where do private companies come in on this? Or is Germany a centrally planned economy where the government dictates what can and cannot be built.
You hardly ever hear of anything new coming out of Germany.

My sister and brother-in-law lived in Germany for many years, he was a civilian NATO employee.
Their house was one of the few with a landline, the wait time was YEARS for a phone line.
His boss, the base Commander was on the wait list, they enjoyed telling him he could use their phone in an emergency.
Cell phones have become very popular in Germany for some reason.
For a closer look at Germany’s doom I recommend the blog “Eugyppius:a plague chronicle.” great insight into the damage caused by government policy especially regarding unchecked immigration.
