HONOLULU (KHON2) — COVID numbers are up statewide according to the Department of Health (DOH). At least 1,180 new cases were diagnosed this week alone. But some people said finding a COVID test isn’t as easy as it used to be and neither is getting vaccinated.
“I woke up realizing that I’m having symptoms. And so luckily, we had a test that we got on Amazon. So I took the test and it was positive,” said Murti Hower.
He immediately went to the doctor to get medication.

And according to what some have told me - the test kit you may have saved from 2021 is now useless - either chemically degraded, or rather, the virus has mutated so much, its far less accurate.

I wonder if the meds to treat Covid are any good? (Not the vax). After you already have it to treat the symptoms there’s stuff on the market
The way I remember it covid tests couldn’t tell the difference between covid and the flu.

So you may have a COVID clinical infection because you are presenting with cough, runny nose, body aches and a low fever?

They weren’t useless.

But their utility had zero to do with protecting public health.

I have some old test kits that my kids sent to me back in 2021. If we ever get a CoVid museum, maybe future generations could look at them, and wonder how it was that we ever got so far off course.
If you have no symptoms, you likely have Covid. Check yourself into a hospital for a booster.
I think we have 7 double test kits in the med cabinet. Only $200/ea.
I’m not vaccinated and got Covid last year. It wasn’t bad except for flu like symptoms, but my fever kept rising. My doctor prescribed Paxlovid and it was a miracle drug. Temp went down fast and my symptoms disappeared very quickly. I was only concerned about the rising temperature, but I hated the flu symptoms because I NEVER get the flu and wasn’t use to all the aches and pains. One thing is my appetite was as hardy as ever.
LOL! I can see the strange logic in that.
Poor Murti isn’t much of a critical thinker.
And Dr. Scott Miscovich no doubt has blood on his hands.

I was waiting for a prescription to be filled this weekend and overheard two people within ten minutes asking for test kits.
They were told the store had been out of them for weeks.
