Dr. Eithan Haim, a general surgeon in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, was indicted on four felony counts of violating medical record laws by the Department of Justice last week. ...

“The reason they have to come after me is to make an example out of me so other whistleblowers don’t speak out like I did,” Haim told The Dallas Express. “In this case, the process is the punishment.” ...

The doctor said his legal costs will likely hit more than $500,000. His ability to pay these costs, he said, will rely heavily on donations to his legal fund. He described his upcoming trial as a continuation of the Biden administration’s abuse of legal power.

“There is no reason to trust the people who have demonstrated they’re willing to target innocent people for political purposes,” Haim told DX. ...

The Biden administration, Haim said, should be focused instead on the secret plan at Texas Children’s Hospital to continue its transgender program.

“For the hospital administration, all the people responsible have not even attempted to defend themselves after the story came out, which reveals the nature of the situation,” Haim told DX. “Yet the person telling the truth is charged with four felonies.”

“The story highlights an important principle in medicine: there should be nothing behind closed doors at a hospital that a doctor is not willing to defend publicly, especially when what they’re doing is working with kids,” he continued. ...

Dr Haim: “My story highlights an important principle in medicine: there should be nothing behind closed doors at a hospital that a doctor is not willing to defend publicly, especially when what they’re doing is working with kids”......

I hope everyone sends a generous contribution to his defense fund.

This brave and principled man, trying to prevent the mutilation and molestation of children is being prosecuted under HIPPA violations. The Biden DOJ is essentially saying he violated Federal law by violating the “privacy” of the mutilated children by releasing their medical records. Of course Daniel Ellsberg who released the Pentagon Papers, which resulted in the death of American soldiers was never prosecuted and led a protected, comfortable life. The Biden cabal is evil and protects evil.

In Mexico if you report a drug operation, it is very likely the police will come and beat you up for it. This is not unlike that.

‘No one is above the law’ Democrats about DJT

Wow! Who knows what’s next!
The DOJ may collaborate with state political based prosecutors!
Worse, the may ‘refuse’ to prosecute a guilty AG who refuses Congress.
Now the prosecute a whistleblower.

Good thing this isn’t a Fascist Dictatorship under Joe Biden, and we don’t have two systems of justice or anything.

And that’s after he removed the personally-identifying information from those records.

This disclosure is like disclosures that are done for research purposes all the time.

But according to the article the ASSt US Attorney prosecuting the case doesn’t even know what HIPAA does and doesn’t allow and was able to provide no evidence that there was identifying information.

Like he said, the process is the punishment. They prosecute for what is not a crime, bankrupt a person, and then say oops. Except that instead of saying oops they continue to lie about it and gloat.

I wonder if Ken Paxton could charge this US Attorney with something. She’s operating on TX soil and abusing a TX resident.

These sort of non-identifying releases happen often in reporting adverse events for medications in medical trials. This is certainly not a crime. HIPAA covers the identity of the patient, not the procedures or medical events that happened to them. This should be thrown out of court immediately as there is no harmed party.

But then, Trump’s “hush payments” case should have had the same but didn’t.

Somebody on the Q thread posted this, which I think should be applied to all people involved in prosecuting non-crimes, including Alvin Bragg and his whole cohort, as well as the Asst US Attorney in this case

Actually, as I think of it now, couldn’t the whole J6 Committee and Nancy Pelosi be prosecuted on the basis of this because they tried to remove Trump through impeachment even though they had all this exculpatory evidence?

If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured—

You can pick up any medical journal and read detailed case histories. This not a violation of HIPPA as these case histories have no information in them that would reveal who the patient is. This doctor did not reveal who the patient is. He is not in violation of HIPPA!

The DOJ has become the STASI and KGB.

Beria is looking up from hell and smiling. Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria was a Soviet politician and one of the longest-serving and most influential of Joseph Stalin's secret police chiefs. "Show me the man and I will show you the crime."

Actually, couldn’t E Jean Carrol be charged under this - conspiring to keep Trump from exercising his First Amendment right to defend himself from false accusations?

Couldn’t the entire prison administration in Washington, DC be charged with this for the abuses against J6 prisoners?

We just really need to get Kash Patel or Ken Paxton in as AG. And we need to make sure there are criminal referrals waiting on his desk when he arrives.

Unless there is a total overhaul of the DOJ, it’s obvious now that they aren’t going to prosecute the Democrats in the DOJ or even UniParty types who all just are there to protect the ongoing corruption.

Haim is both a Jewish first name & surname.

So it's a two-fer prosecution. Prosecute a whistleblower who exposed a criminal act taking place, while also prosecuting a Jewish man.

What the DoJ perceives as being the positive in this case, is well beyond my ability of comprehension.

He is on non-woke GiveSendGo.

Legal Defense Fund for Surgeon Whistleblower
https://www.givesendgo.com/texas_whistleblower

My name is Eithan Haim. I am a 33-year-old general surgeon who was the anonymous whistleblower in a story released May 16, 2023 by Christopher Rufo. We exposed the fact that Texas Children’s Hospital - the largest children’s hospital in the world - was lying to the public about the existence of their transgender program. In part due to the story’s release, the very next day, the Texas Legislature voted, with bipartisan support, to ban transgender medical interventions on minors. The conduct we exposed became illegal in the State of Texas within 24 hours of our story.

Just over a month later, on June 23rd, 2023, a few hours before my graduation from surgical training, two federal agents showed up to my apartment in a highly atypical, unexpected, and aggressive show of force. Despite their best attempt at launching a surprise interview, I insisted on having an attorney present. Before leaving, however, I was given a target letter signed by a federal prosecutor that stated I was being criminally investigated for a case regarding “medical records.”

Since no laws had been violated (no personally identifiable patient health information was disclosed), this was nothing more than a blatant attempt at political intimidation. We believe this case is being driven by a highly ideological division within the Department of Health and Human Services that aims to silence whistleblowers who expose institutionalized medical corruption and the dangers of these hormone-based interventions for confused, adolescent children.

Between then and our decision to take this story public, the path forward was unclear. I knew that speaking out would necessarily put myself and my family at great risk, but after experiencing the extent of the corruption first-hand, it became clear that silence would never be an option. ...
