When ‘non-dogmatic’ information becomes FREE & TRANSPARENT it becomes a threat to those who attempt to control the narrative and/or the stable.
When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.
You are not alone and you are not in the minority.

So-—I need a little help from you Squid-speakers. I keep forgetting what I’m supposed to call female sailors? Sailhers? I dunno, seems complicated.
Before my time. I never worked on a ship that needed a door with a skirt on it. I do remember coming close once, tho. We had to rebuild the piping in the Captain’s Head to make it closer to numbnutproof. I think it was one of the Skate class boats, Seadragon maybe? Seems the Captain had dropped a hardball deuce or something similar and jammed the backflow check valve. When he hit the 400 psi air to flush he pretty much washed down the space. So we drew up a mod that even he couldn’t screw up, yardbirds swamped the whole compartment out, and sent him back to sea with a Subsafe terlet. Don’t remember seeing the bill for that bit of cleverness but copper nickel piping for a flush terlet ain’t gonna be cheep.
Wonder what was in the red book that he told him now that almost all the GOP is behind them.

But here’s part of my problem with putting chicks in Subforce. Let’s assume they’re more or less normal young gals who do what women do. Every now and then they have to get rid of stuff. On a sub the only way to do that is with the Garbage Disposal Unit (GDU), located in the galley, and uses 400 psi air to blow a bag of trash straight down. Subs don’t pack extra 5” Navy rounds to weigh down detritus. Maybe now, with chicks aboard, they load a bag of rocks to deal with such things?
But a month’s worth of dumpings from just one gal might leave a sniff trail that half the sharks in the AOO could find. It would be super inconvenient for a sub to be located by the 600 or so sharks following it.
I well remember, back in the 60’s, when the Seagulls found one of our subs by riding the floating antenna. Could see the white line in the water from a satellite. The first fix from COMSUBPAC was to make up tiny little signs for the antenna that said “No Roosting, Riding, or Hitch hiking.”
It would be totally accurate, and it IS a term of endearment. If you didn't, the squids would think you are up to something.

Beating ones self up in a crick full of rocks has never caught my eye. Besides I haven’t yet seen a kayak that I could actually get into. Whenever I’m confronted with a pile of rocks with water running thru them my main impulse is to bring over a bulldozer and straighten the whole thing out. Same thing with mountains. They need to be flattened.
