I have no hope that this will work because unless the US gets Israel to do what Hamas wants them to do, then no hostage releases.
And Israel won't do what Hamas wants them to do, and any American politician who spends any time trying to get the US to tell Israel what to do won't have a long career.
This is the same thing that they did after the Entebbe raid, retroactively codenamed Operation Yonatan after Yonatan Netanyahu who commanded the operation and was was the sole fatality.
