Ukraine Opens New Front Against Russia's Beleaguered Black Sea Fleet
Newsweek ^ | 6/10/2024 | Brendan Cole

Ukrainian drones are threatening Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov, it has been reported, signaling an intention by Kyiv to target Moscow's infrastructure beyond the Black Sea.

-snip-

British outlet Sky News reported Ukrainian forces had carried out a "coordinated strike" against a Ropucha-class landing ship overnight Saturday, which had moved to the Sea of Azov, connected to the Black Sea by the Strait of Kerch.

Ukrainian Telegram channel Crimean Wind and Ukrainian Mariupol mayoral adviser Petro Andryushchenko gave more details, saying a ship was hit near the port of Yeysk, located in Krasnodar.

But there are conflicting reports over what kind of vessel was hit. Crimean Wind said satellite imagery from Sunday morning suggested Ukrainian forces may not have hit a large landing ship but instead a Vasily Bukov-class patrol ship.

Zeeper’s failed to listen when Anthony Blinken recently stated that the US intensions to place Nuclear Missiles in Ukraine as early as May 2020 was the Red Line which forced Russia to invade Ukriane.

Sometimes the truth comes out. Blinken-Idiot sometimes lets the cat out of the bag.

Brics is re-creating a COLD WORLD for the US who has threatened, sanctioned, fined, or economically crushed for the last 20 years. Saudi Arabi just ditched the Petro Dollar for Gold Backed currencies.

Russia doesn’t have to do anything. The EU and US have sanctioned themselves into the cornor of the room, and the rest of the world is moving on without US.

Only Crimea had popular support to shift allegiance to the Kremlin.

in the Donbas, Muscowite forces played at being “separatists”. There was up to 30% to 40% support for the Kremlin, but not the majority, not even a plurality

Putin and his supporters have declared they want to recreate the Soviet Union.
Link to putin saying this? I do not believe it exists.

It's a constant them on Russian TV. Putin himself said it to the Duma, in 2012 if I remember the book rightly. Links to audio won't help, unless you speak Russian. Do you? I can pull some URLs out of Keir Giles' book "Russia's War on Everybody". And of course there's the manifesto of "Putin's Brain", Aleksandr Dugin.

We'll leave aside Ivan Ilyin's little book "Our Tasks" for the moment. It's mentioned in two or three recent books I have handy, but I can't find an English translation. Ilyin goes beyond restoring the Soviet borders to creating a Russkiy Mir "extending from Lisbon to Vladivostok". It's reported to be required reading in every military school under Russian control.

Link please. That would make no sense at all on any level, and I won't believe it for a minute unless you can produce the videotape. From an American source, not Sputnik.

Now all we have to do is eliminate the corrupt spending domestically. It's a win/win.

Profligate spending on foreign wars which possibly incites WW3 is the way to eliminate corrupt domestic spending? Interesting economic theory!

Only Crimea had popular support to shift allegiance to the Kremlin.

One book I'm holding reports that internal data from Crimea found only 30% of eligible persons voted, and that the ballot had only two choices, both of which were for annexation by Moscow. This votes were evenly split.

Enough of your BS and false narratives.

Lindsey Graham let the cat out of the bag yesterday, admitting the real reason for this proxy war:

In an interview with 'Face the Nation' on CBS on Sunday, Graham accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being a "megalomaniac" who is attempting to "re-create the Russian Empire by force of arms," starting with Ukraine. He further claimed that if Moscow wins the current conflict, it will then take over Ukraine's wealth and share it with China. Graham described that prospect as "ridiculous," suggesting it would be better if this "gold mine" were available to the US instead.

"They're sitting on 10 to $12 trillion of critical minerals in Ukraine. They could be the richest country in all of Europe... If we help Ukraine now, they can become the best business partner we ever dreamed of, that $10 to $12 trillion of critical mineral assets could be used by Ukraine and the West, not given to Putin and China," Graham stated.

This, Marcus, you despicable turd, is the sole reason for the proxy war in Ukraine. Graham is lying about Putin wanting to recreate the Russian empire but telling the truth about our motive in continuing this war:

In an interview with 'Face the Nation' on CBS on Sunday, Graham accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being a "megalomaniac" who is attempting to "re-create the Russian Empire by force of arms," starting with Ukraine. He further claimed that if Moscow wins the current conflict, it will then take over Ukraine's wealth and share it with China. Yeah, I’m familiar with the “PUTIN IS HITLER!” argument. IMHO, it makes even less sense now than it did two years ago.
