As WKRG reported, 23-year-old Atmore resident Sara Milliken won Miss Alabama on her third try over Memorial Day weekend. The morbidly obese Milliken claimed her goal was only to make the top 10 after failing even to place in her previous two attempts. Yet, she is now Miss Alabama. A few days later, despite an array of stunningly beautiful, charming, and intelligent women to choose from in the Miss Maryland USA pageant, the contest’s judges awarded the crown to a biological male who goes by the name of Bailey Anne Kennedy. How did this happen? You know the answer as well as I do: wokeness run amok. This is part and parcel of the perverse leftist desire to render the meaning of words moot… and worse yet, to strip everything of any meaning whatsoever. Their desire to excuse their own proclivities and behavior, whatever it may be, impels them to attempt to destroy the very concepts of decency, “better,” and good and evil… that they may not be judged here on this earth. (And, since they typically do not believe in God, they think they are home free.) This is a deliberate attempt to make a mockery of judgements, competition, the sacredness of male and female complementarity, beauty… and God himself. Make no mistake, the Left is engaged in an all-out war on beauty, excellence, and decency. This, in turn, is part of its larger War on Truth.

I’m glad she has her moment AS the sun.
There...fixed it.
Thanks for this information...Makes more sense now...I see no problem with this pageant/contest...People need to know about this before going off the rails...LOL
“It’s a value of jealousy.”
Exactly. The green-eyed monster is very powerful. It’s the biggest reason the big shots — on both the left and right — despise Trump so much.
Read post #34...It isn’t a beauty pageant...I thought the same as you stated until I saw that post....Makes more sense...
“I don’t blame her for winning, it’s the judges.”
I wonder if there was any point in time, back in the day, if this could’ve happened when Trump ran Miss America. He hasn’t always been as enlightened as he is now, and on the liberal side. I wonder...
Of course, he’s always has a great deal of common sense.
It’s not just beauty pageants. This promotion of ugly over beauty is endemic to every society that embraces evil, such as the left and socialism. Art, architecture, music, clothing…it all becomes banal, brutal, and grotesque.
(And, yes, I do understand that Miss Crisco here wasn’t in Miss America.)
“My first girlfriend in Scranton weighed twelve-hundred pounds. She ate five dozen eggs and a whole hog for breakfast. No joke!”
I agree with you. It sounds like a nice pageant. It’s a shame this young woman’s win has been overshadowed by negativity.
Zhang Fei posted this yesterday, it seems to be a fake story calling her Miss Alabama.
There are multiple beauty pageants. This Miss Alabama is one that doesn’t dock for obesity. This “body positive” pageant doesn’t send contestants to the Miss America pageant, which prefers its contenders a little less substantial in girth.
[A week after Milliken appeared on WKRG, the station did another story about what they called cyberbullying and called it their “#1 story.” They also called her “Miss Alabama,” which is not her title.
“How many days in a row are you going to report something on her?” asked Jordan Evans on Facebook. “Your credibility as a professional news agency is coming into question.”
National outlets quickly jumped on the bandwagon, continuing to call Milliken “Miss Alabama.” However, the misrepresentation of the title has gotten the attention of many people, including former Miss Alabama Amie Beth Shaver.
Shaver explained that there is only one Miss Alabama title, and that is for the pageant that sends competitors to Miss America. There is also Miss Alabama USA, which sends contestants to the Miss USA pageant.
“Miss America now is 101 years old and then Miss USA, which goes on the Miss Universe pageant,” Shaver said. “But this National American Miss, no one has heard of it. I don’t even know what it is.”
Shaver said Miss America owns the rights to the “Miss Alabama” title, so it is improper to use that title for another other pageant.
“If you are a pageant person, you’re only going to participate in either Miss America or Miss USA,” Shaver added.
The National American Miss pageant awards winners with scholarships, self-care products and other prizes. The program is based on positive self-image.]
For the love of God please make this stop. This is not the commonly known “Miss America” pageant. This the “National American Miss”, a totally different organization.
Looking at their website it appears that there are about 50 different categories, which leads me to believe that if you pay the money to enter this contest you will win...something. It’s gotten ridiculous. After this dies down, you will never see this person again.
Yes, thats it. Leftists have to make it ugly. But, how to explain Hollywood glamour?
Red state blues. Shows how completely conservatives have lost the culture war. After all the chest puffing commentaries by Limbaugh in the 1990s about how this country was “fundamentally conservative”, one would have never imagined this would happen.
Naughty naught you ;)
Another fake story that gets lots of comments.
Dennis Prager: “The Left destroys everything they touch. There are no exceptions.”
The foods we consume are loaded with junk that should not be in our food. Many of these contribute to our epidemic of obesity.
A LOT OF TROLLS posting here w/o doing any research. This wasn’t a Beauty pagent. It was a poise, presentation, Interview pagent. Y’ALL took the bait. Hook, line and sinker.
Yes. It isn’t CALLED a Beauty Pageant.
But Miss America, et al., also are all of those things you listed, i.e., “poise, presentation, and interview”. They they also are (supposed to be) avenues toward educational scholarships. Beauty is just icing on the cake.
And, honestly, what kind of a testimony of a well-put-together life, lifestyle, and poise is presenting yourself at 300+ pounds?
