You have to watch the video but for years I believed he was eaten by cannibals.
This video shows a good reason to believe that is not so.

I like MrBallen’s narration of the story on his YouTube channel.
Wait, I think that is Joe’s Uncle Bosey.
His first clue was when he asked for a menu, and they handed him a mirror instead.
Michael’s boat is sinking fast...
There goes Michael up the mast.
I looked it up. It is but it is not as well illustrated as the one I posted. This is MrBallen’s.

It doesn’t have the new findings of what more likely happened to him.
MrBallen’s is the old story told for decades. There is more.
An ironic end for a man who was great-grandson of America’s wealthiest man ever (comparing for wealth vs. GDP) and scion of the bluest of blue-blood families.
L9ke when they tried to cook Bugs Bunny in that big pot.
All those archers, primitive as can be, but the White guy is the only on with no loincloth. What’s that about?
Maybe his was in the laundry.
To Serve -a- Man.
It’s kind of sad that Ambrose Finnegan gave his life in honorable service of this country... only to be turned 80 years later into the punchline of a joke due to the tall tales of his idiotic, disgraceful joke of a nephew.
I can’t disagree with that at all. But, it came out of Joe and not his opposition.
True.
I thought the same thing but it might be he is wearing white shorts? There seems to be a light line on the thigh?
Or he was enjoying ‘going native’ as he first met them. Or was he actually held captive by them? Slavery?
I was thinking, he lived there for six months. If he swam ashore and they greeted him they would recognize and know him and visa versa but the film makes out like ‘oh we didn’t know he was so important’.
They had to know he was, he prob told them but also they knew he had their boats, sculpture’s transported off the island which should have told them he had some importance. I saw those at the Met, btw. There was a definite creepy air to the whole exhibit and though I specifically wanted to see it, traveling from Phoenix I could not stay in that room. The feeling from that exhibit still bothers me.
If it happened as I theorize, Michael Rockefeller, would not be the first scion of great wealth to divorce himself from that lifestyle, and become fully immersed into a totally different culture, never looking back.
He'd live a charmed life, picking up all kinds of the best acting roles, exclusively hob-knobbing with the world's most powerful elites, as if he were an uber-wealthy son of an ex-vice president. (Note: similarly discolored, smaller-sized tooth.)
Curiously, like father, like son (Chet), even among all the satanic and Illuminati signaling, they would repeatedly pay homage to Michael (see pix below).
I never thought of Tom Hanks from that perspective before.
It would help to explain why his word, sometimes, even just his presence at certain events, seems to carry so much weight in Hollywood. I mostly considered him dry, droll,
Democrat drone.
