I don't think that boat-rowing image of a light-skinned guy is particularly close to contemporaneous images we have of Michael Rockefeller in the bush. MR kept his "cookie duster" trimmed, probably for hygienic reasons in not-very-hygienic New Guinea.
Nonetheless, a breaking-the-timeline image of MR rowing in that boat would support my general thesis. That is, that MR's disappearance from real life was a planned event, probably with the help of his family's intel community friends. In all likelihood, he
didn't die as a result of some boating incident.
