If surfing sea otters weren't enough at Streamer Lane, now you have bodysurfing deer at Seacliff State Beach.
Valencia Elementary School students on a field trip got to see just that on Tuesday. A parent, Mrs. Martinez, then took the video of the deer swimming near the shore. KSBW 8 was told the deer "ran down the mountain, onto the beach, dove into the surf, swam out a ways, then swam parallel with the beach," said Lynnelle Wing, a third-grade teacher for Valencia Elementary School.
It then caught a wave, wiped out, came back up and tried catching another wave but changed its mind. It eventually went back into the forest.

The salt water can help remove parasites like fleas and ticks.
I’d be looking back where the deer came from to see what chased it into the water.
Climate change.
And it’s safer than the stuff they put on pets?
Can saltwater remove leftists also?
Just how is this a news story?
LOL!!!
“And it’s safer than the stuff they put on pets?”
Mixed bag. I’ve used salt water on our chickens to remove chicken lice and it’s effective but the salt concentration has to be very high and it might take two or three treatments.
The best result I get is still using flea shampoo for dogs.
But wild animals will do what they have to and I’ve seen it written before that they can swim in salt water to clear up parasites.
And down Doeheny way
Everybody's gone surfin'
Surfin' U.S.A.
Those deer should apply for lifeguard jobs in NYC, because, Mayor Adams says they’re lacking lifeguards for beach and pool season, and the deer are not aliens and qualify as ‘Americans’. Plus, the deer ‘will work for food’, which is cheaper than salaried employees, but still expensive with Biden’s inflation.

I never thought of that but it makes sense that it could kill fleas and ticks...
I have an old barn cat I inherited with this farm and I have brought the old girl inside..
I noticed just a few days ago she was scratching and licking back by the base of her tail and had nearly licked the hair all off so I gave her one of those little pills that are supposed to kill ticks and fleas in 30mins.. 30 minutes? WTF, it must be a biowarfare agent... it suppose it works by passing to the interstitial fluid and reaching the bugs...
I also put the old girl on 25mg a day of amoxicillin.. I sure hope she perks up... I’m 65mi from the nearest vet.

My dog hasn't chosen to go into the ocean yet, although 75% of her breeds would say she would. Should I ground her, if she doesn't?
