Nothing like a glass of diabetes in a glass over ice.
It was “Dr. Pepper” prescribed at 10, 2, and 4. Back in the day a bottle was only 8 fluid ounces, IRC.
In the winter, heated with a slice of lemon.
I’ll see my old self out.
We called Dr Pepper “regurgitated prune juice” as a kid. Tastes like it sounds.
Pepsi must really suck if this is the case.
I like it. Sixty years ago when my parents visited my grandmother at the hospital and I was too young to go up to her room, I was given a bottle of Dr. Pepper, a package of Planters Peanuts, and some comic books to occupy myself. I am always reminded of that when I have a Dr. Pepper. It was better then when it had real sugar, though.

Not to be confused with 25 or 6 to 4.
With fried chicken!
Dr Pepper Cream Soda...
When I was growing up in Appomattox, VA, used to watch Top of The Morning while I was getting ready for the school bus. It was a Kroger sponsored, country music themed morning show out of Roanoke, VA. It featured Don Reno and Red Smiley and the Tennessee Cutups along with other country and bluegrass bands.
One of the things they pushed was Hot Dr Pepper as a coffee substitute along with Martha White all purpose flower for the best biscuits, cakes, and pies.
I’m boycotting Pepsi and Coke. That leaves RC Cola, DP and store brands.
But I really don’t drink carbonated, flavored sugar water very often.
Thats because they changed the taste of diet pepsi, I cannot stand it now
I’m a 7-Up guy myself, on the rare occasion I want a soda.
I love Dr Pepper!
Zero Sugar Dr. Pepper is pretty good.
😂
If you can get hold of a Dr. Pepper made with cane sugar, go for it. I never was much of a soda drinker and now am banned from them all together but I do mis a Dr. Pepper when I have a cheeseburger.
I also used it in chocolate cake recipes.
During College Football season, Dr Pepper’s “Fansville” commercials are the best. As for the drink, way too sweet!
If a place serves only Diet Pepsi, but you can get limes, order both and squeeze a lime wedge into the soda and stir it in. Makes it taste like Diet Coke. I learned this hack from a bartender. God love you…
