Here's Why Hippos Are More Dangerous Than You Thought

The Hippopotamus, or "water horse," as the Greeks called it, is the third-largest land mammal in the world. They're kind of cute and kind of funny-looking, and they use that cuteness to hide just how murderous they can be. Seeing as the animal weighs between 3,000-9,000 pounds on average, according to Live Science, and can move about in the water better than most other land mammals (though they can't swim), it's easy to see why you should be absolutely terrified of this hungry-hungry animal.

Hippos are indeed tough but toe to toe, I have to go with a full grown Rhino.....KO in the 4th. Rhino’s walk through lion dens and the male lion runs.....

But would a woman rather encounter a man or a hippo in the woods at night?

I’ve lurked since the days of Monica, Bill and Bill’s best friend and male member, Willard.

Then I officially joined after the mess of the 2020 election because it wasn’t right just to stay quiet and show up to vote every two years.

I still like the ghettopotamus word.

Bur rhinos generally have a docile disposition - they just have poor eyesight, so if they perceive a threat they charge first and ask questions later.

I’ve spent time in national parks in Kenya,Tanzania and South Africa and have seen a fair number of hippos. On each such occasion the guides were clearly cautious and concerned.

Well, to tell you the truth, I tend to avoid Hippos. Except the above mentioned occasional hungry hippo game with the gkids. And, there is that one relative that insists on singing “The Hippopotamus song” at Christmas. So, I don’t really think about the creatures too often since we don’t have them down here in the woods.

But, thanks for the heads up!

I did choose poorly. Don’t jump into the middle of a dog fight. About 20 were
Needle point, that is, chihuahua. Infection set in but quickly retreated after treatment

Hippos may be the most dangerous land mammal, but RINOs are definitely the most treacherous.

Supposedly, the stopping distance for a rhino is further than they can see. If they decide to charge, they’re hitting it.

The most prominent mosquito-borne diseases include malaria, West Nile virus, yellow fever, dengue, chikungunya, and Zika virus.
