While listening to Jack Prosobic it came time for ads to be run. The first was for Tusk Search and the URL is tusksearch.com
Other than the ad, I have no clue if it is what it says it is, but I thought I would bring it to the attention of FR if anyone is interested. I have zero involvement with this product. This is just a notification of its existence.
Clickable link that opens up a new tab:
I Am going to give it a try, because I am tired of all the other search engines .
Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll try it out!
I just tried it, not the least bit impressed, sorry to say.
It appears to consider CNN ‘center’.
I’ll pass.
CNN was center maybe ... when it was founded, decades ago.
Yeah, I was not impressed at all.
Thanks anyway.
Thanks for the suggestion. We should all keep looking for a search engine that is not so slanted to the left and the government narrative. Hopefully, some company will see the need for one and create something that can make Google irrelevant so that it goes the way of MySpace and AOL.
Actually, I couldn’t figure out if ‘center’ actually meant center, or just a mixture of everything. (I’m not sure how you could really designate anything as ‘center’, these days.)
Tip:
When I search I often exclude sites I want to to be excluded with a dash (-) like this:
https://www.google.com/search?q=freerepublic+forum+-wikipedia+-latimes
It might be useful for certain niche searches. If I find one I’ll be happy to share it with you.
My experience is that Google is useful for searching past stories and data on the net.
DuckDuckGo is useful for finding spam as every search result will come back with spam. (LOL)
Yahoo search is useful for searching legal documents. Entering a case number almost always comes back with the specific case and with no further filtering needed. Of note is that Yahoo incorporates Alta Vista into their search tech.
Yandex, although a Russian search engine, tends to be very unbiased when searching information about the USA.
(-:
I’d say all is relative. In my view:
Fox News is right to center.
OAN is right.
CNN is left.
MSNBC/NPR is radical left.
That used to work for me years ago on many kinds of searches, not so much now; but I rarely use google anymore.
WTF?
I image searched [scientists from america] ...
I got a bunch of fish, and Michael “Martin Luther” King.
[american inventors] produced a similarly ridiculous set of results; the third hit was the painting “American Gothic” ...
Try again ...
Makes me wonder if conservatives really are as smart as they say. I mean libtards design and provide great search engines and streaming platforms but we are stuck with gab, rumble, and truth social. All of them suck!
If you search for “Joe Biden Sucks” it returns “Duhhh”?
So what DO you use? Safari on iPhone?
And my experience is that Bing is good for searching for coding tips and such, especially with Microsoft tools. LOL
