BROOKLAND, Ark. (KAIT) - A man accused of kicking in the doors of multiple Brookland homes, including that of a Paragould police officer, after seeing a trend on TikTok has been sentenced.

Court documents said the Honorable Pamela Honeycutt of the Craighead County Circuit Court sentenced 18-year-old Austin Mayfield-Moore, of Paragould, to 24 months probation and 30 days suspended imposition of sentence on Friday, May 24 after pleading guilty to unauthorized use of another person’s property to facilitate certain crime, first-degree criminal mischief, and criminal trespassing in or on a vehicle or structure.

On Thursday, March 28, Brookland police officers responded to the Brookland Hills Subdivision about individuals forcing doors open on houses.

According to a news release from the Brookland Police Department, Officer Josh Whitley conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area for improper exhaust.

Detective Dustin Norwood said one suspect invoked his rights to the council. Norwood said another suspect gave an incriminating statement at the traffic stop.

“They said that they were going to do six houses and had completed five of those,” Norwood said. “And they were driving around looking for the sixth one, but luckily Officer Whitely stopped them.”

Police identified the driver as Moore, along with two occupants, 18-year-old Nicholas Andrews, of Brookland, and a juvenile. The vehicle was said to have been Moore’s grandmother’s car. The trio were arrested shortly after the traffic stop.

Norwood spoke with Andrews the same day. Andrews admitted he and the two other suspects had met earlier in the day and decided to kick the doors for fun.

“Andrews advised that the idea to do this was obtained from the national TikTok trend of people doing the same,” Norwood said. “Andrews laid out their plan and advised that the two co-conspirators had kicked two doors each, and he had kicked one.”

During the interview, Andrews provided video of the three instances of the trio going around and kicking doors open on homes, bragging about what they were doing while heading to vandalize property.

The news release said in the last video clip, the three kicked a front door open on the home of a Paragould police officer who lives in Brookland.

“Andrews advised that they knew this was an officer’s house because of the police car sitting in the front drive and identified the vehicle by it having a spotlight,” Norwood said.

On March 28, Craighead County District Court Judge David Boling gave Moore a $100,000 cash surety bond and Andrews a $200,000 cash surety bond.

At the time of the arrest, Andrews was out on a $35,000 bond for commercial burglary, theft, first-degree criminal mischief, and criminal trespassing after he and two other students were accused of damaging a concession stand and stealing items from inside in January 2024.

Police said Andrews was also arrested on a criminal mischief charge when he destroyed a sink at a convenience station in Brookland.

Court documents said a trial date for Andrews, who was given the same charges as Moore, was set for Monday, June 17 with a jury trial set to begin on Monday, August 5.

Very lucky. The wrong door and he wouldn’t have had to worry about jail.

MEN???

Those incel soyboys don't look like men to me. I think they need to get...er. You know, the thing.

"decided to kick the doors for fun."

Try that in Idaho and you'll be asking about the new ventilation holes in your chest and torso.

They kicked in a door with a police car in the driveway? It doesn’t get much dumber than that.

I see the resemblance. I watched the DVD recently and it had a special feature, a documentary of the making of Mad Max. Toecutter was a true Shakespearean actor lol.

It sounds like they got very lucky when arrested.

They try this too many times and they would have been made Swiss cheese by someone’s shotgun.

Speaking of Idaho and, I think we have. But a friend who moved there last year is upset by a new bunch of Republicans (Coeur D'Alene) who were elected to office. They've turned out to be RINOs. (According to her.) She's also talking/has talked about the large numbers of liberal kalifornians moving there.

IIRC, that's much like how those kali fags turned Colorado blue in four short years.

What's your take on this phenomenon? I ask, because my wife wants to maybe move there. Thanks.

Try them for the harshest action reasonably perceiveable and sentence them to prison. Let them sue TikTok for inciting the crime. All these ‘challenges have to stop because someone WILL get shot and killed. And if I’m on a jury the homeowner shooter goes free.

Not everybody has a firearm at hand and if they kick the doors in and run, should be no problem. Well, except for that Rottweiler...

“They are lucky they were not shot.”

No kidding. They are extremely lucky to have done it five times without getting shot.

^^^^^^^

This sentence tells me that the Honorable Pamela Honeycutt has entered a guilty plea. Why in the heck would the judge do that?

Apparently, today’s reporters are not required to demonstrate an understanding of basic English composition.
