A US veteran who fought in Ukraine said many Western fighters assumed it would be easy. He said some "treat it almost like it's a vacation, and they're not really expecting to die." Many foreigners won't accept that their training hasn't prepared them for this war, he said. Advertisement Some Western fighters who joined the war in Ukraine have been killed because they assumed the fight would be easy, a US veteran who fought in Ukraine told Business Insider.
The veteran, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said a lot of foreign veterans who came to Ukraine to fight against Russia's invasion had been used to fighting at an advantage and struggled to adapt to the conditions there, where they were often outmanned and outgunned.
"A lot of Westerners that come to Ukraine, they want to be heroes," he said. "I just kept seeing dudes that would go out to Ukraine, and they treat it almost like it's a vacation, and they're not really expecting to die."

Tucker interviewed Eric Prince
Prince compared war in The Ukraine to the Battle of the Somme, World War 1.
Layer in loitering drones hunting for soldiers.
Right, its why Putin told the European Commission President, he could conquer Kyiv in two weeks.

Give it a rest. It’s really getting stale and pointless. The Russians failed and they changed the strategy to an attritional battle. Unless we get in it, Ukraine is going to be ground into dust.
Ukraine is done—the only question is how long? another year? Two years? More deaths? All Russia need do is take one more large city and the truth will be known to all. Zelenskyy will be taken out, shot or deposed, a new guy will set up a cease fire and go to the table. Russia gets its slice (that it already has) and the war will be over. Then the truth will come out and it will be ugly. Putin gets his victory party and the rebuilding can start. No WW III and that is good.

They are almost, but they’ve still got hopes of NATO intervention. That’s why all the recent talk of NATO troops in Ukraine. If that doesn’t happen the only way out is peace negotiations.
I have said all along this would be a battle of attrition and the Ukrainians never stood a chance, even if NATO looses what’s left of it’s collective mind and intervenes. All that guarantees is a nuclear exchange either tactically or strategically and I have no faith the current western civilian or military leadership have a clue in hell what that would entail for our countries and humanity.
Both sides need to negotiate a peace settlement before this gets out of hand and we wipe out a chunk of humanity for a third world corrupt crap hole like the Ukraine.
Well to be fair, there is a way for websites to inject that stuff so it’s not always the case of blindly copying but that’s why we paste and proofread which is why we have the preview button.
