Another lie by our far left governor. In pursuit of zero-emission vehicles she is requiring that starting in 2026, 43% of all new passenger cars and light-duty trucks shipped to New Mexico auto dealerships must be zero-emission vehicles. The rules also call for 15% of all new commercial heavy-duty trucks to be zero-emission vehicles. The percentage for passenger cars jumps to 82% by 2032.

They didn’t dare risk the optics of an all EV failing when it was needed to respond to a fire.

So, they are hybrid's. I actually think that is a wise choice, instead of depending on an all electric Fire Engine that might not be able to reach your house in time needed.

But why in the heck are they going from San Diego to Portland an then to Abq.?

First question: Do we need a new fire truck?

Second question: Why does it need to be electric when a fire will put out far more crap into the air than that electric POS will prevent.

Third question: Who puts out the electric fire truck fires?

Fourth question: wouldn't the money have been better spent on law enforcement to take care of crime in the war zone in Albuquerque?

Zero Emissions vehicles huh?

Doesn’t she realize that even a Fred Flintstone car has emissions? Fred puts out lots of CO2 going up La Bajada Hill.
