"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.

2) Speaking of so-called governors, the Witless Protection (Witmer) “kidnapping hoax” is on the verge of collapse as it appears there were as many feds as alleged perps in the “plot.”
3) Michael Cohen was a total disaster on the stand. One newshoaxer asked Jonathan Turley if the prosecution could recover from Cohen. “No.” Another said that Cohen gave Trump his “best day” in court.
4) Some 16 DemoKKKrats joined enough Republicans to ship arms to Israel. Rage, little Progs, rage.
5) The ex-diversity chief at FascistBook got a five year sentence and had to pay the dinero back.
6) President Trump continues to edge away from Rutabaga, now up 3 in the latest Echelon poll but more important, at 49%, knock knock knockin on heaven’s door at 50. In a Blueprint poll, Trump leads Rutabaga among youts on “two defining issues,” namely inflation and the economy. Oh, and those student loans? Only 38% say “most important.”
7) Occasional Cortex (AOC) and Marjorie Taylor Greene got into a cat fight in House proceedings yesterday. Bah. This is nuthin. In 1836 two Arkansas state legislators got into a knife fight on the floor that left one gutted and dead.
8) Congressman Greg Murphy says he has evidence Rutabaga was “jacked up” on drugs for his SOTU rage-speech. Or demonic presence. Don’t rule that out.
9) They won’t be able to contain this, as I have said. Now, he argues, the latest polling shows that things are “not good, not good at all.” Not only is President Trump leading Rutabaga by 16 points (12 more than in 2020), but the deterioration in this group is even worse among likely voters (18) and is even worse among non-whites, where Rutabaga’s edge has fallen from . . . wait for it . . . 48 in 2020 to just 9 points among non-whites. Rutabaga is down 21 in GA and 24 in MI. Both of these numbers are significant drops since 2020. In NV Rutabaga is down 21.

Rethinking my statement re: Pence. I still don’t know for sure. Remembering President Trump’s comment to him on Jan6 before the electoral count thing: “Sometimes is takes more courage to do nothing”, (Paraphrasing). And also the Chris Miller praise, definitely points to Devolution.

California: Yesterday afternoon, the Russian Federation announced (via NOTAM) an area that would be host to rocket activity in international waters, approximately 500nm off the coast of Los Angeles. The notice (A1922/24) went active yesterday, and at the time of posting would be active until May 26. However, as of this morning, the NOTAM has been canceled per the Defense Internet NOTAM Service (DINS) portal.

Analyst Comments: As to the original reason for the Russian NOTAM, few details were provided in the initial notice (which is typical). It could have been to designate the debris field for a Russian space launch, but the language in the initial notice was not typical of such launches and indicated a more military use. On the other hand, the factors provided equally support a space launch, which are frequently rescheduled due to weather (and thus changing the expected booster debris field location).
However, if a Russian military missile launch was planned, announced, and abruptly canceled within a few hours, this would be par for the course with regards to the current strategic tensions between the United States and Russia.
As a reminder, Russia did almost exactly the same in 2022 off the coast of Ireland. Missile drills were announced, planned, then abruptly canceled without comment from Russia. As such, while Russian activities in international waters are generally concerning power-projection moves, the far more concerning military activities are those which are not announced in advance. More strategically, even though virtually zero information is made public regarding the detection of Russian submarines close to American waters, an observable increase in U.S. Navy ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) aircraft has been noted throughout the Atlantic over the past few months. It is very challenging to discern training operations or routine patrols from real-world sub-hunting activity; sometimes the only indicator is a lone P-3C Orion or P-8A Poseidon ASW aircraft flying out to sea, out of range of ADS-B trackers, only to return a few hours later with most Americans none the wiser as to their activities. However, considering the extremely tense situation throughout Europe (especially the war in Ukraine), it only makes sense for Russia to have stepped up clandestine power-projection activities close to America’s borders…and for the United States to quietly be doing likewise.
