A newly unearthed photo of the iceberg that may have sank the Titanic has come to light 112 years after the disaster.

The black and white image was captured by an undertaker working on the body recovery ship that arrived on the wreck site in the aftermath of the sinking.

It is now coming up for sale at Henry Aldridge & Son Auctioneers of Devizes, Wiltshire, for an estimated price of £4,000 to £7,000.

There were likely other icebergs in the area so one cannot know. But would be interesting if it is the actual berg responsible for that tragedy.

Icebergs gonna iceberg. Perhaps instead hubris by the Captain and others running the ship might get some blame instead.

"The photographer, believed to be the funeral director John Snow Jr"

He probably knows nothing about it himself. Just a random iceberg among several that were likely in the area at the time.

I seen the Ice Berg that was struck by the Titanic. I know it was the right one, because it was dented and had paint on it.

WTF?

“The crew began their grim task the next morning. In all they recovered 306 bodies from the sea.”

“The ship returned to Halifax seven days later with 190 Titanic victims.”

The rich libtards received coffins and the little people were dumped in the water.

I'm pretty sure the rich weren't libtards. They were just rich.

Can we finally bring this iceberg to justice? I say we break it up, cube it up and serve margaritas with on it.

It must have been 4 days later.

There is a picture of another iceberg (you can probably find it on the web) with possible paint stains on it (I don’t know it could be shadows or something too) — that one has been conjectured as well.

Lol, that caught my attention too. Does an editor read anything anymore?
