A major point of contention among Redditors was including the state of Missouri in the South.
'I'll be deep in the cold, cold ground before I recognize Missourah!' a man declared, whose comments history suggests he lives in Alabama - and who further poked fun at how some in the southern part of Missouri pronounce the state's name.
'I feel like Missouri was only given to the south here to generate interaction and comments. Missouri is definitely Midwest, and classified by the government as Midwest,' a second argued.
What do YOU think is the correct area for Missouri?
South Midwest 'Geographically it is midwestern, culturally it is more southern. Also giving Missouri to the south is Kansan approved,' a third contended.

Illinois could become 2.
When the Juan de Fuca plate lets go, all that will be left will be the inland parts of those three states, which are more like Idaho than the coastal regions.
Maryland is an escape route from radical leftists? Who knew?

But otherwise, the map is pretty much spot on. I agree that MO is more Southern than Midwestern

True, but the problem with California Republicans is that they’ve still gotten into the habit of voting for government control and intervention. They are generally not as conservative as they think they are, even in the Central Valley.
You already see it in places like Eagle and Post Falls. California Republicans moving in and then voting for tax increases because they have grown to expect that government should handle certain things and provide a certain level of benefits.
This article from Fox accurately describes it as “liberal baggage”: https://www.foxnews.com/us/california-retirees-flocking-to-small-idaho-town-prompting-concerns-about-liberal-baggage-wait-a-minute.

Fat chance that Utah, Wyoming and Montana or Idaho join f***ing Kalif and Oregon. East Oregon and East Washington would split off. What you would really have is small urban enclaves surrounded by sane areas. Much of Kalif would split off also.
My Missouri peeps (south-central) pronounce it Missourah. They also regard it as Midwestern.
Yea, and go to East St Louis and you are in the ghetto where they will kill you.
DC goes to the south?
Won’t happen this way.
Pennsylvania will eject Philthydelphia.

States must be re-defined. We need 58 states not 50. California divided East and West, New York, Cut out Long Island and NY City into a state, Nevada, North and South etc... New England—a nation, Pacifica, CA, Or, Wa a Nation.
Deseret embracing the west around Utah a nation and Dixie a Nation, Cut Texas in two and Florida as well. New Mexico as well. Historic lines work best. What about seizing Canada? or maybe Baja? Maybe we could sell Porto Rico?
