EXCERPTS:
East Coast ports have invested billions of dollars over the past decade to expand capacity and while the temporary closure at Baltimore may add time and cost for some companies, economists do not expect a significant macroeconomic impact.
The dockworkers are day laborers, said Scott Cowan, head of the International Longshoreman's Association Local 333 in Baltimore, meaning they only work when there is cargo to be moved. He estimated there might be about a week's work clearing the existing inventory at the port.

Everything is good. NO terrorist attack happened. NO disruption to the supply chain. NO increase in prices. NO increase in local traffic. In fact life will be better!
Of course it won’t.....it’s an election year and there’s a dumbocrat shuffling around the WH.
If Trump were POTUS there would already be accusations that he did it deliberately. Like when W Bush blew up the levys during Katrina.
REMAIN CALM !
ALL IS WELL !

Cui bono...?
Our respective Deep States.
Their “expert” is Joe Isuzu, from Saturday Night Live.
I thought I heard Pete say earlier today that any new inflation will likely be attributable to the supply chain issues caused by this bridge crisis.
How long will it take to clear the river of the remains of the bridge? While the ships can be diverted to Norfolk, Newark, etc., in the interim, the delay should not be too long, especially since this is an election year and Biden is down in the polls.
no longer there
NOT TO WORRY!!! Chomo Joe will use his anger to yell and the clouds and tell corporations “don’t raise your prices.”
The country may need to adjust to not having Baltimore as a port any more. Because things don’t get done any more.
Baltimore has a lot of heavy marine equipment. Yet, some additonal heavy lift may come up the Chesapeake Bay.
Some of that, is probably underway, including work crews.
After respects for the lost, maybe 1 week should pass.
Some of the choices depend upon, how structures will be hauled (floated) away.
And major choices - I favor Phase I:
Clear the Lane, as Phase I.
Clear the Remainder, as Phase II
You could bring in several barges and park debris on them, and move all that material to a separate location, instead of getting too much into the science of investigation, on scene.
There is going to be some compromise between investigation and moving pieces - particularly for Phase II.
The bow of the MV Dali, is hung up on top of where the bridge support was.
The lane will probably be cleared soon. MV Dali and the rest, will take much longer.
I guess, that the lane could be cleared before the end of April.
