Oakland's progressive DA Pamela Price says those funding recall campaign against her are filled with 'hatred and racism,' after violent crime soared 21% in dying California city

Oakland's district attorney has vowed to fight against the 'hatred and racism' as she faces a possible recall vote after just 14 months in charge.

Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price is under pressure over the soaring levels of crime in the dying Bay Area city.

But she claims the campaign against her is being 'financed by billionaires who have no interest in public safety', according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

'I plan to push back against the hatred and racism that they have brought to Alameda County,' Price said on Friday following a panel with other county prosecutors at the University of California, Berkeley.

It comes after she was accused of regularly dubbing 'the media and the Asians' as her enemies in a bombshell $1.5 million legal filing.

Price, who was previously a civil rights lawyer, became the county's first black district attorney when she was elected in 2022.

She promised to reduce sentences for defendants under the ages of 25, crack down on police misconduct and end mass incarceration.

But a campaign has been launched to recall her and its sponsors submitted 123,000 signatures to county election officials on Monday.

The county's Registrar of Voters has 10 days to decide whether the petition includes at least 73,000 valid signatures to put the question to a vote.

More than $2million has been raised to remove Price from office and the largest donation was $390,000 from Oakland resident and financier Phillip Dreyfuss.

The panel at the event was hosted by former San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin who was recalled by voters in the city back in 2022. He was also accused of being soft of crime.

Boudin claimed he looked to 'decrease reliance on incarceration as the primary response to social problems'.

San Francisco recalled their domestic terrorist Soros DA, so these Oakland folks are getting their inspiration there. It was such a disaster they were actually able to recall the guy in SF.

When all else fails for the left, racism is the answer.

It sure seems like disaster for communities follows every last black female elected or appointed to office. Why do you think that is?

She didn’t complain when billionaire Soros gave her campaign money. On the bright side, the carnage that all these Soros DAs have wrought proves that mass incarceration works. The pendulum is swinging away from the BLM end mass incarceration craze.

Penalty time rooms would greatly reduce the cost of dealing with non-violent crime.

Upon arrest a charged person would have say 7 days to spend say 30 hours total in a penalty time room and as many hours thereafter as the police officer (or magistrate) specifies.

Time served within 24 hours of arrest might be double credited. Time served 168 hours thereafter might be credited with a 50% bonus. Time served 168 hours thereafter might be credited with a 40% bonus. Time served 168 hours thereafter might be credited with a 30% bonus. Time served 168 hours thereafter might be credited with a 20% bonus.

The penalty time room system would greatly decrease the need to provide prosecutors, public defenders and incarceration health care. Only those refusing to enroll and serve enough time would go to trial.

The penalty time room system would allow people to keep a job.

Showed her to be the loser that she is.

Yah see, in the mind of a racist all others are bigoted until they swear fealty to them. “You either think right or you are wrong and an enemy.”
