A Texas father was sentenced this week to 10 years in prison for fatally shooting his wife in the head on camera after learning about her alleged affair.
Carey Birmingham, 60, told his wife Patricia she was going to “meet Jesus” right before he shot her three times outside the Spring, Texas home in December 2021.
The pair argued for roughly 30 minutes before he shot her after finding out she was allegedly having an affair, according to ABC 13.
“I hope it was worth it,” he said in the video, obtained by ABC 13. “I’m done, I’m f–king done.”

It was the jury that chose to sentence him to only ten years. It was an all-woman jury. I don’t know what those women were thinking. I feel sorry for the young daughter and it’s understandable why she says she can never forgive her father for what he had done.

It’s only murder... Now if he walked through congress peacefully on j6 then he would get 20 years
Sad Fact: He will be eligible for parole in 5 years!
At least his wife will possibly be meeting Jesus, as he may well miss out on that opportunity.

Texas has laws concerning the killing of a spouse for having sex with another.
It used to be : if a spouse shoots his other half when caught in flagrente delecto in Texas, he or she has committed no crime.
Apprehended extramarital sex is a defence to murder in Texas, and a mitigation of sentence.
It is a surprise that to me he got any time at all.
If she was committing adultery. I’m questioning if she will meet Jesus.

I don't condone shooting your spouse for cheating and having overwhelming evidence.
imho, otoh, He doesnt have A christian background, he had nothing left in his life w/o her, in essence, she killed him first, he just shot back..
10 years may have been because she drove him out of his mind.
