Loneliness, depression, and mental health issues also spiked during a time when most people were asked to self-isolate.
Alcohol consumption and deaths also went up during that time, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
A new report by the CDC found that there were roughly 488 deaths per day during the pandemic due to excessive alcohol drinking in 2020-2021.
“Stress, loneliness, and social isolation; and mental health conditions might also have contributed to the increase in deaths from excessive alcohol use during the Covid-19 pandemic,”
During 2016 and 2017, there were 137,927 alcohol-related deaths nationally. For 2020 and 2021, that number climbed to 178,307, according to the report.
Excessive alcohol consumption-related deaths went up by 35% amongst women during those two time periods. In comparison, for men, there was an increase of 27% in deaths over the same time period.

Sweden had it right.
But I’m sure they were chalked up as COVID deaths.

If you are going to the bar, you are not isolating.
I’m not sure if you know this, but you can get drunk at home.
A friend had just had a heart problem diagnosed when the lockdowns hit. They wouldn’t give her an appointment to treat it because they’d shut down to just deal with Covid. Remember flattening the curve? She made it several weeks, then died suddenly. I’m guessing that the way the government reacted to Covid may have killed as many people indirectly as Covid killed directly. That’s probably before we take into account the still unreported effects of the vaccine. We probably will be having effects from the vaccine for the next fifty years.
Were liquor stores considered “essential” businesses allowed to stay open?
Pfizer working on a new vaxxine for that.
We were raised on an isolated farm and learned to love the loneliness. We did well and are still doing well.
Or vaccines
“...and not a soul has been held accountable for it.”
Not true. God is keeping track. Some of those responsible have already faced the ultimate judgement for their crimes.
They tried to shut down liquor stores near me (Denver area).
It lasted about 20 minutes.
Deep States worldwide have killed far, far more people than the coof...
