What boss or executive would allow a man or woman, in this case Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd, who was fired for dismal performance coupled with horrendous television ratings, to publicly SCOLD them as to their weakness & stupidity in hiring Ronna McDaniel. Actually, they should be scolded for hiring “Sleepy” for Meet the Fake Press, and keeping him on so long despite his poor performing skills, bad ratings, and bias. The sick degenerates over at MSDNC are really running NBC, and there seems nothing Chairman Brian Roberts can do about it. Watching Chuck Todd, of all people, viciously giving Roberts a piece of his small mind, and then berating him for hiring Ronna without his, or the other lunatics, approval, was just a step too far. Brian’s great father would have fired Chuck Todd, and all the rest of these losers, on the spot. Perhaps Brian still will. If I knew Ronna was going to troubled MSNBC, I would have advised her to change her name back to Romney, she would have had a better chance!

But, as a teacher, missionary kids (the children of translators, seminary teachers, and other support personnel) are our mission field. We rarely know what impact we’ve had on our students. Some are in full-time Christian work. Others seem to need more prayer.
Tonight, at this concert (which I missed because of a bad guy), Mike was presented with a poem written by one of his students. Here it is:

Wow! Ronna McDaniel got fired by Fake News NBC. She only lasted two days, and this after McDaniel went out of her way to say what they wanted to hear. It leaves her in a very strange place, it’s called NEVER NEVERLAND, and it’s not a place you want to be. These Radical Left Lunatics are CRAZY, and the top people at NBC ARE WEAK. They were BROKEN and EMBARRASSED by LOW RATINGS, HIGHLY OVERPAID, “TALENT.” BRING BACK FREE AND FAIR PRESS - MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN 2024!

Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit.
Cindy was excited for her new job in a nonprofit company. What an opportunity to make a difference! She soon discovered her coworkers didn’t share her enthusiasm. They mocked the company’s mission and made excuses for their poor performance as they looked elsewhere for more lucrative positions. Cindy wished she’d never applied for this job. What looked great from afar was disappointing up close.
This was Jesus’ problem with the fig tree mentioned in today’s story (Mark 11:13). It was early in the season, yet the tree’s leaves signaled it might have early figs. Nope. The tree had sprouted leaves, but it hadn’t yet produced fruit. Disappointed, Jesus cursed the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again” (v. 14). By the next morning the tree had entirely withered (v. 20).
Christ once fasted forty days, so He knew how to go without food. Cursing the fig tree was not about His appetite. It was an object lesson. The tree represented Israel, which had the trappings of true religion but had lost the point. They were about to kill their Messiah, the Son of God. How more barren could they be?
We may look good from afar, but Jesus comes near, looking for fruit that only His Spirit can produce. Our fruit need not be spectacular. But it must be supernatural, such as love, joy, and peace in hard times (Galatians 5:22). Relying on the Spirit, we can bear fruit even then for Jesus. .

BUT mainly - we wanted an island so we could create a capitalist paradise. Not be subject to liberalism, anyway.

We also had very little entering marriage
By various events over past 20 years I’m back at that milestone.
Not unhappy but there is a sense of loss as you try to know the memories are still there but Gods lessons through all
Knowing your right where you should be ( despite imperfections) is a peaceful acknowledgement
Playing catch-up for the couple days I had a drizzle of connection when it should have waterfalls
Good message. The religious leaders of Jesus day were blind to the truth while focusing on unimportant minutiae.
