You are so right, Ms.B. A walk is something you really appreciate as it becomes more and more difficult. Remember the days of tearing around, going here and there, not giving a second thought to falling down, or sore knees or hips? Those were the good ol’ days.
Loving our devotional time today - and the reminders of His love. We need these more and more in such tumultuous times.

Yes, I read that they closed the traffic shortly before it happened, so thankfully saved some lives. Horrible way to die.
I watched a short of Tucker with Rosanne last night. She said she talks with God all the time, and he answers her.
Tucker asked her if she asked God, why he had not done anything about the world situation? She said she did. She said to God, all you would have to do is SNAP! your FINGER and it would all be taken care of. Why God haven’t you done that?
Tucker then asked, what was his answer? God said because “I DON’T HAVE FINGERS BUT YOU DO.”
Right. It’s not our love for him which changes with the tide, but his everlasting, never-changing, and unconditional love and forgiveness towards us.
How can a just God be that way towards us who screw up all the time? Because we are saved by GRACE though faith, not by our works (Ephesians 2:8-9) Jesus’ sacrifice is efficacious and eternal and all our sins past, present, and future were consumed and done away by his death and resurrection (John 1:29).
THAT is worth shouting about.

I remember back in 2018 driving by our airport and seeing a sign that said something to the effect, shovel ready project going on. So at least some of the money was spent on some projects.
THE TRI-CITIES AIRPORT WAS AWARDED MORE THAN $10 MILLION IN GRANT MONEY FROM THE US DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (DOT) FOR TAXIWAY UPGRADES.

WHEN YOU DIE, don’t worry about your body... your relatives will do whatever is necessary according to their possibilities.
They will take your clothes off, wash you, dress you, take you out of your house and take you to your new address.
Many will come to your funeral to “say goodbye.” Some will cancel commitments and even miss work to go to your funeral.
Your belongings, even what you didn’t like to lend, will be sold, given away or burned.
Your keys, your tools, your books, your shoes, your clothes... And rest assured that the world will not stop to cry for you. The economy will continue.
In your job, you will be replaced. Someone with the same or better capabilities will take your place.
Your assets will go to your heirs.... And do not doubt that you will continue to be cited, judged, questioned and criticized for the small and great things you did in life.
People who knew you only by your appearance will say; Poor man or woman! o He or she had a great time!
Your sincere friends will cry for a few hours or a few days, but then they will return to laughter.
The “friends” who pulled you to partying will forget about you faster.
Your animals will get used to the new owner.
Your photos will hang on the wall or remain on a piece of furniture for a while, but then perhaps they will be stored at the bottom of a drawer. And we will only live in the memory of those who loved us.
Someone else will sit on your couch and eat at your table.
The deep pain in your house will last a week, two, a month, two, a year, two... Then you will be added to the memories and then, your story is over.
It ended up among people, it ended up here, it ended up in this world.
But begin your story in your new reality... in your life after death.
Your life where you couldn’t move with the things from here because, when you left, they lost the value they had.

In your new life you will only need your spirit. And the value you have accumulated here will be the only fortune you will have there.
That fortune is the only one you will take with you and it is amassed during the time you are here. When you live a life of love for others and peace with your neighbors, you are amassing your spiritual fortune.
That’s why try to live fully and be happy while you’re here because, “From here you won’t take what you have. You’ll only take what you gave.”

Another way of saying this is, "Soon the glories of this life will all be past, and only what you do IN AND OF Christ will last."
That speaks of our eternal rewards from the degree we have rested in and followed after the life and peace of the Spirit (Romans 8:2, 6).
A few words about "death" for those in Christ.
[T]hat through death he [Jesus] might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.Hebrew 2:14-15
[K]nowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be [a]done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.Romans 6:6-9
We in Christ have ALREASY died. The instant we accepted Christ we died and rose with/in him, fulfilling the scripture that we are no longer under bondage to the fear of death. So what happens when we leave our time on earth? We leave our earthy body and put on our heavenly body. Instantly. NO DEATH, just immediately in Heaven and in the presence of Christ and the Heavenly host.
Remember "death" is separation from God and we will NEVER be separated from God and thus will NEVER die (death is behind us - a done deal).
Do I hear a "Thank you Jesus'?
