This is the main reason plus my carpel tunnel is kicking back up trying to use paint brushes again.
“Solvents, such as turpentine, paint thinner, and mineral spirits, are the most common brush cleaners for oil painters. All three options are incredibly effective, but they do have toxic properties. When using solvents to clean brushes, be sure to do so in a well-ventilated area.Apr 5, 2021”
I will keep trying but the more videos I watch I find I need more supplies. Now I need masking fluid and another type of brush called a Rigor. It looks like it could get quite costly.
Did you know about......Operation Beluga?? 🐋
In December 1984, a group of 3,000 beluga whales were trapped by ice in the Chukchi Sea, near Russia. The whales were confined to small open water ponds surrounded by thick, impassable ice up to 3 m thick in some areas.
Without access to larger areas of the ocean, the whales had difficulty breathing and were at risk of dying. To help rescue them, an icebreaker named Admiral Makarov was brought in, equipped with a specially reinforced ice-breaking hull. The ship attempted to take the whales to safety by breaking the ice, but the belugas initially refused to follow.
When the crew began playing classical music like Tchaikovsky over the ship’s speakers, the whales finally began to follow the Makarov through the narrow open-water channel. This allowed 2,000 whales to reach the unfrozen ocean after a journey of almost 100 miles.
The successful rescue effort lasted several days and was later dubbed “Operation Beluga.” It was a massive undertaking that involved several countries, including the Soviet Union, the United States, Canada, and Japan.

When most of us accept a dinner invite we bring a hostess gift. Often wine
That i do also but add on a sweet treat. Have half a dozen I chose from
Here’s one ~~ and it’s vegetarian! (Wink)
Cracker chocolate caramel cookies
Ingredients
* 1 1/2 sleeves of saltines
* 2 sticks of butter
* 1 cup of brown sugar
* 2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
* 12 fun sized snickers, frozen (or equivalent to 1 1/2 cups crushed up)
* *Alternatively I use a bag of crushed heath bars instead of snickers, found in the baking aisle by the chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Cover a cookie sheet in foil and spray it with non stick spray, then line up the crackers like in the pictures before this recipe card that are in the post. There will be some space empty on the edges.
2. In a sauce pan, melt the butter and brown sugar, bring to a boil and boil while whisking constantly for 3 minutes. This will be VERY hot, use caution. Make sure it is not boiling rapidly, just a low boil and you must whisk so it does not burn.
3. Pour the brown sugar butter over the crackers, spread it so it’s even and bake in a 400° oven for 5 minutes.
4. While they bake, unwrap the snickers and smash up until small pieces.
5. Remove the crackers from oven. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the whole pan and let sit for 5 minutes. I leave this sit on top of mu stove where it is still warm from the oven being on. If it is very cold in your kitchen you may want to put the pan back in the oven for a minute or two to soften the chips. The chips won’t LOOK melted after 5 minutes, they will usually hold their shape, but they are soft, use a spoon or spreader to spread them over the whole pan. Top with the crushed up snickers.
6. Cover the pan and freezer for 4 to 6 hours or even overnight.
7. Peel the foil off the back and break or cut up into smaller pieces. You can use
a knife to make them more exact cut or just break up like peanut brittle.
8. Be prepared to be asked to make these alllll the time!
9. Keep refrigerated when not serving.

I’m thankful for time on line! Catching up and visiting with patriotic friends
Believe it’s naptime Haven’t eaten yet . Lots of good meals on hand.
Cooked up veggies left over from veggie tray at birthday party. Also made soup and yesterday a great Asian noodle bowl.
So later meal left overs will be MAC , candied carrots, cheesy broccoli and cauliflower

Different than using oils?
I forgot to go around the house and make sure anything that looked like a watercolor had glass in the frame. I’m going to dust today so I’ll do it then. I think my grandfather did very few watercolors, mostly everything is on thick dense material, very few on paper. I assume that’s one way to tell the difference? He did paint a few things on metallic paper, but the paint on that looks a bit thick, more like the oil paintings. Then he left some blank spots so the paper shows through.

Dolly, a lot of people don’t use telegram. I for one am one of them.
I would think if this was such an explosive documentary it would be available somewhere else besides Denzel Washington’s “PRIVATE CHANNEL”
