Well, it finally happened. My housemate's Sunday Zoom service at the local Unitarian church featured John Lennon's "Imagine" as the opening hymn.

I never thought I'd live to see it.

I guess unitarian’s would agree with john lennon, imagine there is no heaven or hell. Well, I guess there are no consequences for evil so let her rip and find out.

At least it gave me a good laugh before I went to bed.

I need laughs.

Hubby’s old boss has a tumor on his brain.

Prayers needed.

Well, now your life is complete. /s

When they sang there’s no heaven, no hell, and no religion, too, they should have ended the service and sent everyone home.

After all, what was the point? LOL.

The female minister explained her love for the Lennon snog and slammed "Onward Christian Soldiers."

Now I understand the problem with "Soldier's" lyrics, which come from the height of the British Empire and the monarchy under Victoria. She has a point. But the tune by Sir Arthur Sullivan makes it more important than the work he did with the Gilbert and Sullivan team. Sullivan's one symphony, which looked to Mendelssohn for inspiration, was the greatest English symphony until Sir Edward Elgar came along with his First Symphony. Sullivan was the leading Schubert scholar of his day.

As a former musician -- my eyes are too far gone to read music anymore -- I must protest!

Imagine that! Lol it was only a matter of time. Perhaps you can suggest, in keeping with their theme, “I Can Only Imagine”. Just a thought.

Sorry about the issues with your hand/arm, but glad you checked in.

Maybe take some pain meds and rest you hand and arm rather than doing chores. You may need to give them a rest....the chores always wait, at least mine do.

Beautiful kitties, with those blue eyes.

I’m so glad they were saved. I know I’d rather run back into a burning house to save my babies than to let them perish.

“leavout the car industry part of it”

I hate the media. I would have to toss a coin to see if I hate liberal politicians or the media worse.

Luckily, it seems that at least half the population doesn’t believe that it mainstream media. Not when Trump is winning primaries in a landslide and probably the general election as well. If the votes are counted correctly.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re having pain. But I’m really glad you’re doing the right thing and resting, it’s really hard to stay off electronic devices these days. When I decide to do that for my mental health I feel like I’m back in the Stone age.

People aren’t listening to Biden about buying EVs either. We’re thinking about getting the cheap one, just for fun. It looks like the Chevy bolts are not selling and the price has dropped by 10k. Then there’s a $7,500 tax credit. I’ll have to run the numbers and make sure it doesn’t put us into the AMT bracket first. It only works out for us because electricity is cheap here. How big can do all the wiring himself to be able to charge it somewhere outside. Don’t want to risk a fire. And we would only use it to tootle around town. So it can always be charged at home.
