Buying an EV entails many other costs besides the vehicle.
Insurance is way higher. Some companies won't insure them at all.
Tires wear out quicker (20k miles) and are more expensive.

Does any auto depreciate faster than a GM or Ford EV?

My diesel sedan is well equipped, very comfy and is a superstar on the Interstate. I've traveled Boston-Montreal-Boston on a single tankful (mostly at 65mph). And when empty I can "recharge' it in about 4 minutes at any one of 35,000 "recharging" stations from coast-to-coast and border-to-border.
Why would I *possibly* want to buy an EV?

Yes,EVs can do 0-60 in about 3 seconds. My diesel has 457 ft lbs of torque and is a real beast if you floor it. But I have no desire to do so...I’m after good mileage, not a drag race.

I’ve 650 ft pounds of tire shredding torque

I picked up a couple of new V8s so I never have to buy a battery car

In my neighborhood (Hillary went to school not far from me) there's a Tesla *and* a Range Rover in every driveway. In fact there's a Tesla "dealership" in the mall in my town.I go there often to walk...in bad weather...and every time I walk by it there's nobody there. And at the same mall there's a new Lucid "dealership". They display one of their cars in an open are of the mall and I never see anyone looking at it.
Kinda strange.

Is a ZL1 an EV...or some kind of ‘Vette?
To: Gay State Conservative
It’s a Camaro with a hand built Corvette Z06 supercharged 6.2 Liter V8

I was hoping for a C8 ZR1, but with the remote shutdown feature I suspect I’ll keep my 2019 Z06 as my retirement car

And if your residence doesn’t have a 200A service, there’s another, far higher cost.

So you get 7mpg (highway) and 5mpg (city).
In the summer of 1969 I came close to buying a bright yellow Plymouth SuperBee with a 383 engine. But at that time I was getting disconcerting letters from my draft board so I decided, instead,to join the Army to get a better deal than I would have had as a “US” (draftee).
