NEVER confess to keeping a non traditional pet or livestock. Dept. Of Wildlife is all to happy to arrest you, if needed, go to your property sans warrant, and kill the animal. I have seen it done many times where I live. Especially with deer.

Last summer I had a raccoon that was peeing and pooping on my deck at night. That raccoon hasn’t been back since last summer.

They make a real nice pot roast. You can serve it up on your billiard table…

Wild animals are wild animals.

I had an uncle who raised a coon from a young age. Once it became an adult it turned vicious.

When I was a kid my Aunt and Uncle had a pet Raccoon. I remember they would cook him scrambled eggs all the time.
The raccoon was really friendly until he got older.

All powerful Director of the FBI J. Edgar Hoover went out his front door to see a large amount of animal scat on his front porch. Really had him mad so in a complete misuse of FBI labs he had them analyze it. Turns out it was from a raccoon. So the next day he came out to see blood and guts all over the place.Turns out the FBI put out a really violent trap that smashed his neighbor’s cat to bits.

In my younger days I worked in an old steel mill. I never saw a single mouse or rat the whole time I was there. But I saw plenty of raccoons. Those rascals loved the open trash bins.

Many a time I’d be walking through a half-deserted mill at 3 AM, and a raccoon would burst out of a nearby bin. Kinda knocked the sleepiness right out of me.

I have one here. It will look through my window when it’s hungry. So I feed it some cat food.

feed a racoon and you have a pet or a problem depending on how you look at it.

Have you ever come across a raccoon? Mean little bastards.

Don't feed the animals please.

Hurricane Andrew in Miami in 1992 removed most of the tree in the state park on the end of Key Biscayne and the food source of the raccoons living in the park. I remember seeing a lady who live in one of the high-rises next to the park with large bags of dogfood feeding a group of at least fifty (probably more like a hundred) very thin raccoons that had gathered up to get fed in front of the high-rise. I think she fed them every day until the park was restored.
