A Florida sheriff's deputy is looking more like a cartoonish cop from "Reno 911!" on body cam footage of him mistaking an acorn hitting his patrol car for bullets ... prompting him to open fire on the vehicle.
The video, which was just released, shows Okaloosa County deputy Jesse Hernandez on the job, detaining a guy back in November for allegedly sending threatening texts. Hernandez and his partner cuffed the man and put him in the back of their patrol car.
All seemed to be going well, until Hernandez appeared to hear what he perceived as a shot being fired -- which catapulted him into a frantic drop and roll as he drew his weapon and started firing multiple shots at his car.
Hernandez seems to unload his entire clip ... and, remember, 22-year-old Marquis Jackson was helplessly sitting inside the patrol car, unarmed and completely restrained -- yet, Hernandez clearly thought Jackson had shot at him from inside the car.

Seriously though, the man is seriously stressed, and who can blame him living in a job that frazzled the nerves day in and day out- but he really needs get some help before the job drives him bonkers. I know I wouldn’t want to love with the stress that cops have tk deal with day in and day out- especially in our society today which is far far more violent and angry and explosive temperments of thugs today- must be nerve wracking for sure, especially,since the left have so hampered the ability of cops to do their jobs due to political correctness.
2019 saw 54 cops get murdered by thugs, while only 2 unarmed black folks were killed unjustifiably that year- both cops were tried and convicted. Folks like to rag on cops being “systemically racist”, but that record proves just the opposite when only 2 were killed unjustifiably after millions of arrests and encounters nationwide.
I wonder what caliber of oak trees I have.

Neither cop has reached the age of accountability. Scary these trigger happy fools are fully armed and licensed to kill. Trump’s idea of unlimited liability waiver for cops is just wrong. If they aren’t held accountable for their stupid actions they will be even more dangerous. It is bad enough as it is.
The one who thought he was shot and initiated the event should be fired immediately. The second officer reacted to protect another officer she thought was under fire.
I have watched this several times, the officer who initiated the gun fire is suffering from PTSD, psychosis/mental illness or is just down right stupid and a drama queen.
