The targeted firings of talented engineers tanked employee morale. Randall Lin worried the dour mood would impact people’s work. He decided to fly to New York with his long-distance girlfriend, Alex, an OnlyFans star who lived in the Midwest, to check on two of his colleagues in person. “People were emotionally a wreck,” Lin said. He paid for the flight and hotel himself.

The Big Bang Theory sitcom was based in reality..................
Oh! The huge manatee!!
And they are raciiissst....Lin spent the week ping-ponging
The company was WAY overstaffed, as witness that it still runs fine with all of then gone.
[[“People were emotionally a wreck,”]]
Oh, is that what they are calling pansies these days? “People”?
[[Lin said. He paid for the flight and hotel himself.]]
The horror! All by himself? How did he ever weather the ordeal?
I hope President Trump will follow Elon’s example in January 2025.
I sold computer systems for 17 companies from 1966 through the early 2000s.
I was fired once, had two companies go belly up, got caught in a buy out twice and the rest of the times quit for what I perceived to be a better opportunity {I was correct 10 times, missed on a couple}.
I made millions {blew a load of cash on greed and stupidity, no regrets} and still have the same Mrs. Alaska after 60+ years so it's all good.
My worries are for my Country but my Faith in God gives me peace, so a company's success or failure is such a small thing, that it's not worth much angst.
Seek peace in God and if you are a non-believer...good luck.
Wait...
Aren’t “Only-Fan Stars” emerging porn stars?
One we were bought for our patients. They ended up firing everyone but the engineers. Not a bad move, they had been slighting R&D for about a half a decade.
The other two were not good. Weirdly it was the same company. Company A bought Company B. I took the buy out and moved to Company C. Company A a few years later bought Company C. I again took the buy out because I knew what was going to happen. When the news came out about ten years later that Company A was going through bankruptcy I had to laugh because I predicted it to my boss. They had brought in a "leadership team" (never a good sign) from a Mega-Corp to try to run a Conglomerate. It was like bringing in the Pope to run the SBC. Not a good move.
So you spent a lot of money on whiskey and wild women and the rest you just wasted?................
that Musk dint have to rehire/go on a hiring jag was proof those he let go weren’t needed...
You forgot about gambling, but yeah, you got it mostly correct.
It's like the line in Equalizer 1, "I've done a lot of things that I'm ashamed of...", but it's called life.
“I’ve done a lot of things that I’m ashamed of...”
Me, too.
Thank God I can’t remember most of them!..................
