Ever so slowly the lights are going out in California as it completes its transformation into Communism.
It’s a cascading collapse of commerce in Oakland...the communist mayor is getting what she wants.
Or maybe due to the terrible food?... Oh couldn’t be that, they should have done that 40 years ago.
It's on the other side of I-880 from the In-N-Out that is closing.

Oakland has been a sewer for a very long time.
There was just a thin blue line of police holding things together
It’s just that the Democrats opened the floodgates
I ate at a Denny’s for breakfast in 1990, I went back for dinner the same day, and it was permanently closed. The franchisee filed bankruptcy between breakfast and dinner. One of my friends’ brother was a disher and he said that he got 1/4th of his last paycheck. Of course, he was living with his parents (17 and a senior in high school, so it wasn’t as bad for him as others.)
Denny’s used to be called Sambos.
Their mascot/logo was a big lipped high tone “darkie boy” in a checkered apron.
Their great sign was him running with a stack of pancakes on a platter held overhead.
Denny’s has also paid millions in settlements for “disrespecting” blacks over the years.
Most famous case was a group of black FBI agents who waited for their orders, while others were served.
Suing Denny’s then became a cottage industry.
I’m sure NPR will devote an entire segment ro it.
And I thought Denny’s was on the black folks’es boy cotton list.
Great. Now there will be race wars between the Oakland Blacks and the White Trash for the Waffle House.
Fundamental Transformation of America.
The amish could break an anvil.

Defund the Police!
It’s on Hegenberger Road not Hegenberg.
I’d say the loss of the Golden State Warriors, Oakland Raiders, and soon to be Oakland Athletics from the nearby neighborhood has as much to do with these decisions as the rise in crime.
Oakland stores and restaurants were waiting for the first to jump then they’ll all follow.
The food desert just keeps growing... and nobody knows why.
